Game 320 - OTC Rnd4 - Arkadius(WWfF) vs Morghoul3 (MoW)
Epic Recon
Final round for the day, into a team of the bearded rawl men. There's basically Rahn and Merc nonsense no one really wants, happily others go Joe Black on those and I get some eastern war obsessivites commanded by nice painting man.
I'm expecting Rasheth double turtles, which means I alpha some battle engines off the board, have an equivalent exchange, then win up happily. Instead it's Morghoul 3, which is far more uncertain for me as I don't know how that junk goes, something about blindfolds and stabbing?

I got to select the table, alas the ones with favourable terrain for me were well and truly taken so I defaulted to the scenario that favours beasts lists, ye old Recon.
I then also lose the dice roll and end up with second. Both flags are protected by forests, so I take the side where the forest is on fire, a prospect that doesn't bother me to much with beasts and psycho surgery. I also get a defensive wall. There's trenches and a cloud on the table, it doesn't matter a great deal given the nature of ranged attacks in the match up (i.e. Skorne have....Eilish?).
It turns out Morhoul Blinds stuff and sends thing around acrobatically.

Round 1: Skorne splits into two forces, Archidon/Ferox going left and everything else going to the right. The Tycoms also stab their standard bearers to give souls to Marketh, it's an afterlife almost reminiscent of dying to a toilet from space.
I send four of the Razor Boars, one Gorax and one War Hog left with Targ. Basically everything else goes right. The Road Hogs pop in front of Arkadius, there's enough opposing infantry than I'm anticipating Raw Adrenaline Road Hog sprays doing some good work. Forced Evo goes on the right War Hog.
Guardian Beast is up, being the relevant of the two upkeeps for Arkadius in the matchup.

Skorne 2: Everything moves forward extremely aggressively.
Left wise, Rhadheim plants himself on the flag, the Archidon floats further up while the Ferox get in amongst the Razor Boars. They knock out a couple Minds, otherwise don't do particularly well.
Right wise the Karax form a pile at the end of my zone, popping their mini-feat. Sadly they engage the Road Hogs with their initial moves, so I don't get Guardian Beast spray of awesome. The Karax do some CMA's on the Razor Boars, they take out the Spirit of one of them.
Swordsman, the Sentinel and Morghoul pile up behind them.

Minon 2: No, I don't remember bow-wow either. Now let us stare into the crystal ball placed in front of the phone camera....I see......some models?
Armour buffed Karax. Annoying, but not unmowable. Nothing amazing happening here brain wise, it's let's kill stuff time. I did stare at the table for some time trying to decide if I should feat or not, I ended up not doing so at enough work could be done without it and I'll take some casualties or end model placements that make me not care about impending frenzies.
Out left, The Razor Boars, Gorax and War Hog kill four of the Ferox and miss the Archidon. Hutchuck comes in as well to contest the Skorne flag, gets a charge into the back of the Archidon and misses. Sod. Guess Rhadheim is about to murder you.
On the right, one Road Hog gets Ghostly and Raw Adrenaline from Arkadius, who shuffles back. Forced Evo is thrown on the Battle Boar, I boost a Crippling Grasp onto the Karax and Psycho Surgery to heal up the various models dinged up by the Skorne previously.
Gobbers cloud in front of Arkadius.
The buffed Road Hog moves out to the centre of the table, does a spray that wings Morghoul, kills a couple Swordsman, Marketh and misses the actual intended target of Eilish. And yet I'm ok with how that went.
Karax blob wise, the super engaged Rabo's shuffle, one copping a freestrike for a few points. This is to make a spot for the now Primalled Forced Evo'd Battle Boar to go in. He moes in, maxes his Fury to Berserk overtake his way through most of the unit, foiled in the end by the Officer, who gets put on one box just in time to stop the Swordsman suffering a similar fate. Shame.
The other Road Hog jsut chills back, making an ineffectual shot. The War Hog moves into the Fire Forest to kill a single Swordsman to clear up my flag, not an ideal move alas options were limited.
The Swamp Gobber Chef runs to my flag, Orin sits in the backfield to survive the return strike.
I get up one point off the flag, now 0-1.

Skorne 3: Rhadheim easily butchers Hutchuck and shuffles back to the Skorne flag. The Archidon and surviving Ferox kill a Razor Boar each.
Centrally, the Sentry and one Tycom go into the forward Road Hog, flailing and putting it at one box. He then gets finished off by Eilish advancing and doing an almighty Bleed. A fair response for trying to burn someone alive really.
Right wise, Morghoul feats. Everything left to go charges acrobatically around, embarrisngly they fail to either Blind or kill the Battle Boar, only taking out it's Body.
The Swordsman Power Swell, kill the remaining Road Hog and Swamp Gobbers. Legends of Halaak Slam the War Hog a tiny way through the forest. remaining Tycom and some of the Swordsman also fail to nab the Battle Boar.
Well.....wasn't expecting that. Morghoul is empty of Fury next to a pair of Beasts.
Skorne score there flag, 1 all.

Minion 3: Arkadius Feats, War hog moves over, kills a Swordsman to overtake into Morghoul and kill him.
The poor opposing luck made the end result inevitable and simple, however even if the Battle Boar dies and Morghoul retreats a bit I'm still happy. I can easily push hard on the left to counter the scoring game, between lighting and multiple beast attacks with feat I'll finish off the infantry on the right, Arkadius can happily drift left to set up killing the objective in future turns. Content into the matchup, so close to the Battle Boar living even bigger dreams.
The Team wins this one on the back of throwing the Grandfather clock against it's natural enemy, a typhoon of Blinding Light powered by existentialism.
