It's time to flail with Minions!
Arkadius with Piggy beasts everywhere, Rask with a varied mix of stuff and Boneswarm missiles in Blindwater Congregation. Four round event, Masters packet but with no Divide and Conquer cause that rule is lame.

Round 1 into BraDav with pointy eared angry elves. The internet told me they sucked based off one tournaments results, so this will clearly be a walkover without issue. Sure.
Opposing lists are Vyross2 and.......Ravyn1? There were lots of games dammit, don't get your hopes up for the details being spot on. Arkadius looks good to go, so onwards to Frenzy glory!

Epic Recon is good for me, means I don't have to struggle with my low number of units (Aka Arkadius and the Swamp Gobbers) for scoring.
Table wise, I win the roll and pick first. The table is very open in the centre, with an obstructing cloud. I get a large hill on my left beside my flag and a forest waaaay out on the right.
Ret get a better forest that intrudes into my zone, a wall in their advance deployment line and a small hill on the right.
Oh yeah, I also have a wall in my backfield. I don't....think it comes up?
No, I won't edit these things properly. Spelling mistakes add...authorial flavour?

Round 1: My beasts split equally to either side of my objective, forming a curve across the field outside of Helios coming forward and making a piggy lose his mind and getting dragged to his death.

The various Gobbers run to the right, expecting them to be needed for contesting the opposing flag if the game goes long.

Ret likewise do a split, with two Griffons and Imperatus going behind their left forest.
Vyros goes up behind the wall, Synergy up and camping three.
Rightside gets Helios and three Griffons around him.

Minion 2: There's an auspicious gap in front of Helios, enough for a War Hog. Saves me having to try to kill a Griffon with a Road Hog. I need the feat for distance, which also leads me to opt for sending the other flank War Hog up. Option A is what we call "sensible" and "the not garbage play". In other words we decide to try assassinating the 15/18 caster camping 3.

I opt to drop Aggravator, as Arakdius will want to camp hard if the various things fail. Plus things are being Primalled anyway.

Both War Hogs and the right Road Hog get Primalled by the light beasts who are here to do that, then attack in the late phases when I get super desperate.
After the smog has cleared:

Left wise, one War Hog used a Razor Boar to frenzy up then charge Vyross. I think he leaves him on about 8 boxes (Math basically pans out as it's <10% unless I land the 38% crit chance, then it becomes incredibly likely).
The Razor Boar that got maliciously used for this attempt then goes and makes a pitiful attack on Imperatus.
Targ is also way up the field here for Herding.

Arkadius is in front of my objective, he hides behind two other Razor Boars and the Witch Doc Croc, attempting to make Helios telekinetic cock slap stay away from the precious mad scientist.

Right wise, the other three Razor Boars put up their Animus, then use the feat to Frenzy charge a Griffon to average effect.
Hutchuck ambushed in, he tries to Rust Helios. Griffons have Shield Guard in theme. Whoops.
The Forced Evo War Hog goes into Helios, alas my rolls come out as middling and it doesn't die, really needed to get something else on their if I could. Take out one side at least.
Rightside Road Hog goes into one of the Griffons, the rolls are embarrassingly bad.
Swamp Gobber runs to the extreme right, again for future contesting.

Didn't put a model on my flag to threaten scoring. Imph.

Well, that was a turn of poor choices and flubbing. Helios attack needed to happen. Had Vyross feated I think I have to hang back and it's a longer, more convoluted plan.
Also had the option for the left Road Hog to put a spray and ergo fire on Vyross. Should have sprayed with both if I was going to try the assassination.

Ret 2: Left side, the two Griffons run into the left zone.
The Artificer tries to Combo smite the Razor Boar out of the way, misses. This forces Imperatus to trample to get over to the War Hog on Vyross, messes him up but doesn't kill.
Vyross then gets the job done himself, forgets to feat.

Artificer and one of the Griffons on the right kill a Razor Boar and damage another, taking out his body.
Helios goes, uses his gun to push the back field Gorax and Battle Boar out of the right zone.
Melee attacks easily kill the War Hog engaging it.
Last two Griffons stab at the Road Hog on the right.


Early morning is hard, we realise shortly into my turn that the right zone isn't contested and I score it with a Razor Boar in the very top corner.
1-0, as planned.

Minion 3: My flubb was successfully counter flubbed. I've got a scenario chance I have to take otherwise I'm screwed.

Left wise, Orin runs to the left flag.
The two centre Rabo's get Primalled and charge one of the left Griffons, they roll ballistically well, enough for the left Gorax to Primal the active Road Hog, charge in and finish it off.
The Road Hog then goes into the other Griffon, kills it, Sprints to engage Imperatus.

Arkadius runs the hell away.

Right wise, after the casting of Primal or suffering the effects of having it last turn the only actions are for a Swamp Gobber to toe the rear corner and the Chef to run way up the right again. Said Road Hog Frenzy did finish off the Griffon it was in melee with, Hutchuck charges in as well though doesn't do anything super notable.


I score both zones and the left flag, go up 4-0.

Ret 3: The opposing warjacks kill all my heavies, but can't score or get anything to my flag, so I win by dint of Orin just chilling out on my flag.


A lucky reprieve, first round in a morning is always a struggle to get going.
Looking at it now, the right hand Road Hog probably gets in on Helios, IF I JUST REMEMBER THAT FLAGS ARE INCORPOREAL.  Just.....urgh. Good player here I swear. Could even have charged with both to get over it and used the flag to stop the Poltergeist effect had that ability been up.

Anyway, lovely opponent, can now awaken for the next round.
