So here is how it should go: I run forward. I may even feat some time. Russ waits until Fiona is in range, then feats and kills her outside her control area.
Merc Deploy: Win the roll, pick first to increase my odds of getting to turn 3. Nyss outflank on the far left because forest! Brine outflanks because I haven't yet learned from the last game I stuffed up.
Legion Deploy: Stuff.
Merc 1: I forget to do the Brine Souie move (Sigh).
The infantry runs and spreads out, Boomies/Nyss out front. Telgesh goes on Eiryss, Roth on the Boomies, Nonokian on the Gun Mages.
The plan is simple. Sacrifice everything accept Dougal, Eiryss and Gun Mages with Nonokian, go on an Assassination run as soon as those models can attack Lylth.
Legion 1: Russ Shia Leboufs and feats to kill most of the Boomhowlers and take about ten boxes (No systems) off the Nomad. I even pass one of the 4+ tough rolls! Shadowpact goes up. A couple Nyss also die.
Merc 2: That was a surprise, maybe I can go for a slightly longer game? My feat will now actually have relevance, the Nomad can provide some sweet cover and Legion Beasts aren't thaaaaat hard ot kill right? (Spoiler: Wrong! This list can't do it in my hands!)
Nyss engage Zuriel and the Deathstalkers, couple Boomies go into the zone, Greygore goes with teh Nomad for Fiona to hide behind. Rorsh Digs In.
Fiona feats, Arcane Secrets/Lucky Dies Soulfires a few times into the Raptors and kills one, well short of the target.
Reverse plan, half the Raptors need to be dead for an attrition chance....
Legion 2: Deathstalker stabs a Nyss, Zuriel moves up and Animus' to hit and kill a Boomhowler. The Ravagore misses and the shot goes way out. Bolt Thrower misses Eiryss. Raptors move up, plink Rorsh for a few and light cav back.
Merc 3: I load the Nomad, Nonokian/Telgesh upkept. The Gun Mages try to shoot down the Shepherds and unengaged Deathstalker, they all miss.
Eiryss kills a Shepherd and shakes her head at the Mages. The Nyss charge in, three of them get to Zuriel and do a damage point.
I want to send the Nomad in , but decide I can't and keep Fiona alive, so it wastes its focus to toe the zone and shield Fiona, who camps.
Holt kills Lanyssa, Greygore goes into the zone and hits every beast with a Rage Howl (Delicious)
Legion 3: Shredder/Naga clear up Zuriel a bit. Lylth tries to Pincushion Fiona, misses and hits herself with Whiplash (Doesn't do much beyond MORAL VICTORY). She tries again with the same result (DOUBLE MORAL VICTORY). She then does a couple points to Fiona with the bow.
Ravagore hits Fiona, puts her on ten health. Zuriel charges the Nomad, Free Strike does nothing. Nomad is left with one box of Movement (Woo!). Raptors charge Brine, leave him with four boxes of Body.
Merc 4: Fire does three points, seven health left on Fiona. Lylth has no Fury and no Shadow Pact, kill plan is go!
For the Lols, Greygore Rage Howls, the Shepherd and Raptors flee.
Aiyanna misses the Harm, Holt misses the RAT 10 shot so Lylth Dodges behind the Bolt Thrower.
The Gun Mages aim and Nonokian through all the intervening models. The two nearest attempt Crit Brutals, the rest will have to Snipe. The first three shots miss and Lylth dodges out of range of the remaining four.

Last chance. I have to go for a Telgesh Soulfire assassination. Arcane Secrets won't work because I have to cast ym Node spell first, I can't Lucky Charm becuase Fiona is in a Seether cloud which will kill Reinholdt.
The Gobber runs to get LoS on Lylth, past a Raptor. I can't measure melee range because he is to small to carry a weapon, if only he was a Swampy....
Fiona casts Telgesh on Reinholdt, I attempt a boosted Soulfire that misses. I burn the last Focus for another shot that misses.
I had Rorsh/Brine stab the Raptors for something to do, in hindsight Rorsh should have gone and fired two boosted shots into Lylth. Doh!
Legion 4: Lylth moves up, Pincushions and shoots Fiona to death.
