Game 270 - Jaga Jaga vs eCaine

League game against Haidenon (Hadinator? Hadestorm? Hademage? I just can't decide....).

The Pony storm is back!

eCaine - Squire, Ol' Rowdy, Laddermore, Storm Knight dudes, Rangers, Bazza (Arcane Tempest Gun Mage Captain), Reinholdt, Stormblade Captain

I felt like running Gator Snake Lady, but lacked the beasts I wanted and really didn't want to give the Spitter more chances to counter my disappointment, hence the 35 pts.

Jaga Jaga - Wrastler, Swamp Horror, Bull Snapper, 2x Posse, Croak Hunter

Croak Hunter still represented by a lone Bog Trog, because I still don't own one of the Mr Toad things.

Weird League scenario: There are mines, half placed by each player, Top of 3 and every turn after they have a chance to explode.

Cygies deploy: Haidos wins the die roll, the scenario call for him to deploy 10 inches up anyway, which just weirds me out. Bazza stands proudly in his Green and Gold, but alas the Journeyman is not painted the same and known as Shazza, which is a shame. I definitely look at the Journeyman model and think "There is a chick who could open a tinny with a spatula".

Nyss = Mines. Because Boomshakalaka.

My stuff. One day I'll get around to putting the heads back on my beasts, but it is not this day.

Bottom of 1: Everything moves up! Arcane Shield goes on the Ponies, I regret not having a Thrullg, which makes me feel icky without the benefits of something fun happening first. The Gators are deprived of Spinies, because I didn't really have the Fury to throw them around. Gravewind goes on the Wrastler, my "hero" runs off to the left, totally playing a long term game. Yeah....that's it....

Cyg 2: Caine, the James Bond of the Iron Kingdoms but without the body swapping (The best Bond theory is that it's an identity held by different agents) casually moves up and pops out damage on some Posse, which then get charged by the Cav. I lose seven out of ten Posse, as each one died they turned their head to me and piteously wailed "Where was Spiny Grooooowwwwwth?". Every single ability the Stormblade Captain uses I find amazing. How is this guy not more common?

Losinions 2: The Croak Hunter continues his bold advance. Jaga goes, I weigh up how much Fury I want to camp verses stuff I want to do. I keep Gravewind and Escort, Feat, put Spiny the Wrastler, charge a cav, boost the hit and roll no damage. Doh. Should not have done that Spiny. Posse go in, they do poorly, there's a cavalryman I'm trying to clear to get the Wrastler into Ol' Rowdy. The Horror walks around, I screw it up and block in the Wrastler, who then kills another cav dude. The few dead models go all Undeady and walk into spots to try to be inconvenient.

A few minutes later I remembered the Horror has drag Tentacles, but there still isn't a Great way to do it. Probably needed to lay Posse in several lines, sacrificing a full unit for the other to hopefully do stuff.

Cyg 3: We roll for mines! BOOM TIME!

We roll equal. No mines go off. Where's the Kaboom?


Ol' Rowdy gets three focus, Caine pops forward and shoots Jaga a bunch, doesn't do great. The Cav charge in, they do a about ten damage to her. Ol' Rowdy goes in, doesn't knock her down but does exactly kill her with his last attack.

Doh! Oh well, Jaga probably is not going into Cygnar for a while, she needs a wild night on the town with some undead snakes and a recovery period.
