In a move that will shock all, I took Gorten with Crocs/Bacon and Thexus with 7 manly Mastodons.

So, there was a house elf, then he journeyed elsewhere for bratwurst, now he's been replaced. Kreacher was one of the most interesting characters. Deal with it.
In any event, it's Menoth on Close Quarters.
Kreoss 3 or....Sevvy2 I think? Doesn't matter, got horsey Kreoss.
Infused with false energy in a can, I picked the list that doesn't die to Force Hammers and is easier to run around. The stubby dwarf fella rather than the 400 year old genius who covered his brain in metal but not his frail, elderly jerky-esque armour 14 body.
Kreoss3 - Guardian, Fire of Salvation (I think? Had stabby bits), Redeemer, Vengers, Daughter Cav, TFG + UA, Wrack, Choir, Piper
I win the roll, pick second,planning to threaten the early score. Plus it meant I hadmroe time to stare at the board and ponder life.

Menoth 1: We got some huge sodding hills and forests today!
I take the side without a forest of doom blocking access to the friendly flag.
Daughters move up on the left, across from them sits Ninja Pig, TFG is centre across from Gorten/Jacks/Crocs staring across a small pond that we seem to be fighting over. Canonly assume it's Wrongeye's Summer home.
Vengers/Redeemer on the right, cresting hill of doom, facing Kayazy and Acosta.

Merc 1: Deletrious mental efforts arrived at the following conclusions.
* No point putting out all the upkeeps, might as wellnot give everything to Kreoss. Force Hammer also necessitates some camp.
* That Redeemer is totally a flamethrower jack, and I'm in no way wrong to assume it's way out of threat and I'm fine to pointlessly keep Wrongeye on one transfer without Submerge.
Oinkers go up the left, threaten the most forward Daughter out for horse assisted stabbing.
Fort Gorten assembles across from the Daughters as well.
Croc squad and one Driller go out on the right, pop Star Crossed foolishly without Submerge. Raggles hangs about on the hill on the right.

Menoth 2: Leftwise, one Daughter hangs out on the Menoth Flag, the rest fall back into the forest.
Centre, the TFG pop Iron Zeal, shield wall and form the triangles of doom. The Guardian and Kreoss slink around behind them, the caster staying a reasonable distance away from Gorten's feat range.
On the right, the Redeemer throws aside his cloak of obfuscation and let's rip on Wrongeye. Mostly incompetent, he lands a single good whack for double digits that gets flicked to Snapjaw.
Most of the Vengers and whatever character jack it is hang out on uber hill. Or rather, they are uber the hill.
Two of the Vengers charge Acosta, sadly gut him. They fail to hit any of the Kayazy.
Not doing well keeping that sodding munchkin IKRPG character alive. Bah.

Merc 2: Keep Gorten relatively safe, clear out the top flag and get a cheeky score. Hold feat if possible.
I have to clear two Daughters and a pair of TFG.
The Gunners and Gorten advance, one bunny pops the question to a Virginal Fanatical Pscyopath and she explodes in a splatter of blood. Gorten shoots the other one.
The Kayazy decide Vengers are meanies, charge into the TFG, pop six of them including the losers within 4 of the flag.
around my flag, Ragman casts Deathfield, the Driller then has no problems munching the two horsey men before it.
Ninja Pigs move in a bit, go into the Trench for giggles. And awesome.
The Crocs join Fort Gorten, I eschew Star Crossed and Submerge in favour of keeping the ancillary heavy going.
One of the Blasters also runs up to score.
Mercs go to 1 CP.

Menoth 3: The Daughters charge the scoring Blaster, ding it somewhat, then reposition backward.
Kreoss removes fury from the Wrack, it explodes and kills two Daughters. Best Merc model thus far. He casts some stuff, then moves to the right toeing just out of the killbox.
Assailed focus loaded Guardian charges the Driller on the edge of Fort Gorten. It rolls damage like a brick rolls. Nevertheless it manages to pop my heavy.
TFG hang back, shield wall, pop a Kayazy.
Fire of Salvation walks up, pops the Red Kayazy squad.
Redeemer wings Snapjaw for a bit.
Remaining Vengers charge, two go into the remaining Driller, roll well on damage but leave it with all relevant systems for punching. One also goes into Snappy and takes out his sweet, sexy reptilean body. Snakes are cool. Genuinely. The Snake catching course with the bloke scared of the potentially hazardous scaly toob socks was hilarious.

Merc 3: Rush the flag! Kill the Guardian! Praise the murderous wrack!
Ninja pig pops smoke, Slams the Guardian out of the way and to abet some hitting.
Aiyanna Harms the Guardian.
Ragman advances, pops Death Field.
Various Bunnies advance and pop the models contesting the Menoth flag.
The last Eliminator kills some Choir for giggles.
Right Driller pops the three Vengers.
Snapjaw goes in, easily caps the Guardian.
Wrongeye shuffles, pops Submerge.
Gorten runs to the Menoth flag, now that Kreoss is far enough across that he can't charge in with pokey bits.
Mercs go to 3 CP.

Menoth 4: I didn't think about it, but stabby jack measures assail charge to Gorten. Way out. Idiout Savantism at work.
Kreoss moves across, feats away Gorten's no knockdowny thing I-can't-remember'-the-name-of-no-I'm-not-looking-it-up-in-the-batrep-above-this-one.
Forcehammer knocks Gorten across a couple inches.
Redeemer gets Battle, moves over, shoots Gorten, burns off a bunch of Focus but doesn't kill me.
Nothing can contest, so the Blaster left ont eh flag pops me to 5 without further activations.
