And the third match of the Monday.
Cramming a third game is more than I'm used to, so I lazily used the Ark again.
It was Cryx. With Gaspy 3. And Incorp everywhere.
Balls.
Dr Arkadius (Nature of the Beast Tier 4) - 2x Road Hog, 2x War Hog, 2x Gorax, 2x Gun Boar, Targ, 6x RaBo's, Bone Grinders (Max)
Objective: Arcane Wonder
Anyway, Incoming again with the Undead Dragon worshipping Pirate chumps piloted by Damithulhu.
3Gaspy + Vociferon - Helldiver, Deathjack, Tartare Sauce, Bane Thralls + UA, Mechanithralls + Skarlock Commander, Necro Surgeon + Stitch nobs, Withershadow, Black Bane's Ghost tools, Saxon Orrick
Objective: Effigy of Valor?
Pigs ahoy: Won the roll, picked first, standard triangle deploy.
Cryx Deploy: Mechanithralls on the left, Banes in the centre, Black Banes on the right side.
Pig 1: Everything moves up, divind into equal halves around the Objective. Forced Evo goes on the right Road Hog.
Cryx 1: Gaspy Mobilities and moves to the right side wall, Tartare is even further to the right. Everything pretty much runs straight up. Deathjack does a Bone Shaker into a RaBo and does 9 points. Ashen Veil goes on the Mechanithralls.
Pig 2: It's complicated feat turn time! Plan is to give up the War Hog/Road Hog on the right side to kill Tartare and Death Jack, Crippling Grasp the Mechanithralls and kill as many as possible. I wanted to get the left Road Hog spray into the Necro Surgeon, but the forest and the Sac Pawn made it to unworkable.
The RaBo's go to strategic spots and kill a couple Bane/Mechanithrall Grunts. The right Road Hog moves up, hits Tartare with the flamethrower, leaves him on one hit point and on fire.
Arkadius gets boosted spell range and feats. The War Hogs, left Road Hog and left Gun Boar frenzy forward. The right Road Hog loses his fury while swinging impotently at a Black Bane. The RaBo's do some more denting into the Death Jack. One RaBo on the left gets to the Necro Surgeon and eat him. Arkadius then Crippling Grasps the Mechanithralls, casts Sprint on the left Road Hog and sits back.
Gorax Primals the right War Hog, who goes into Deathjack and splats him.
On the left the Road Hog assaults in, kills some Mechanithralls, hits Vociferon for a couple points and sets him on fire. Then mauls a Mechanithrall, hurts himself for speed and walks back.
The Gun Boar walks forward on the left, misses the Skarlock Commander, scatter back two inches, boosted blast damage kills him.
Left War Hog waddles across the left zone.
Cryx 2: The fires on Vociferon and Tartare both run out.
Gaspy moves across, feats, casts Scything on the Black Banes, Ashen on the Banes and Carnage. His feat is getting most of my beasts but is just shy of Arkadius.
Tartare and the Black Banes go into the two heavies on the right zone, do damage but both beasts live. Tartare tries to Curse the further back Road Hog but falls short.
The Banes go into, a couple going on various beasts. They do damage across the board but don't kill anything.
Pig 3ish: A parental elder side was set to drive Damioggoth away, so did some motions but didn't finish up the turn.
The plan I started but didn't finish was to Crippling Grasp on the Banes, Gorax to clear off the left Road Hog, who walks out of Gaspy feat to burn down half a dozen Banes, left War Hog/Gun Boar.RaBo's clear off the Mechanithralls and I dominate to 2. In later turns I pop the Objective and dominate for the win.
Had 30 minutes each on the clock.
I think if 3Gaspy does it differently then I'm probably screwed, but it has to be played in a manner specific to how Nature of the Beast works. The Black Banes are key, only the Bone Grinders one attack spell and Arkadius spamming Primal Shock can kill them, so they can go in a skirmish line to mess up the feat. Mechanithralls go in second to clear off RaBo's, then DJ and Banes go in after that to take out Heavies. Gaspy feats early and is up the middle of the board, functionally getting an early jam play to rush an assassination or scenario.
