Games 109 & 110 - Wins - Midas vs eGoreshade then eKrueger

Game 1

35pts Close Quarters

Midas Tier 4 - Warhog, Roadhog, 4x RaBo's, Targ, Bone Grinders (Max), Slaughterhousers, Boneswarm, Dead Warhog
eGorshade - Slayer, Helldiver, Bane Thralls (Max) + UA, Bane Knights, Tartarus, Shadow Combine, Skarlock, 6 Scrap Thralls

Turn 1's - Opening advances. Bane Knights got Occultation.


Cryx turn 2 - Everything moves up again, Tartarus kills one of the RaBo's, spawning a Bane Knight. The Helldiver burrows.

Not sure on why Tartarus charged here...


Farrow turn 2 - Road Hog damages for speed, charges a Bane thrall, Assault flame kills charge target and knocks down the Officer. One Rabo damages Tartarus, another kills the blocking Knight, allowing the third to charge and kill one of the Shadow Combine. Slaughterhousers charge, killing Tartarus. Warhog lumbers over. Grinders do nothing, Boneswarm moves over. Midas hides in the forest.


Cryx turn 3 - Thralls charge the Roadhog, fail to kill it. The Slayer tramples forward, damaging the RaBo's and killing a Slaughterhouser. Goreshade moves up, casting Curse of Shadows on the Slaughterhousers. Knights charge in, killing RaBo's and just finishing the Roadhog.Knights kill Slaughterhousers.

Road hog was on three health from the Thrall charge, I was genuinely worried, as I wanted it dead for Feat placement.


Farrow turn 3 - Corpse Tokens burnt for Fury points. Targ kills a Knight, Warhog gets Massacred by a Bone Grinder. Warhog then charges a Knight, killing him then Overtaking to another knight and killing him, clearing a charge lane for Midas. Slaughterhousers kill a Thrall and hurt a Combine member. Midas charges a Knight, feats back the Roadhog, the Tier Warhog and the RaBo's, then Curses and casts Calamity on Goreshade. Road Hog and RaBo's clear the way, then the Undead Warhog gets to Goreshade. Puts him on four health.


Cryx Turn 4 - Goreshade feats, removing Scrapthralls to creates Banes. Then Banes charge, killing all the models I feated back. Midas gets missed several times. Boneswarm dies to Transfers. Combine removes Calamity.


Farrow Turn 5 -Warhog gets Massacre cast on it by the Grinders. Charges Knight, kills him, Overtake move to get to the Slayer, destroys it with remaining attacks. Midas kills the two blocking Knights, Curses Goreshade then casts a fully boosted Hex Blast to kill Goreshade.

Rule Error: I thought I needed to kill both Bane Knights to get them out of my Melee range, really only needed to kill one to get Line of Sight.

Summary - 9.5 Best game the Bone Grinders have had, Massacre was extremely useful multiple times. Slaughterhousers had Advance Move that I forgot, but I don't think it would have done much. Boneswarm only used as a Transfer target, Animus was useless in this matchup.
Roadhog much better under Midas than Arkadius.


Game 2

Midas Tier 4 - Roadhog, Warhog, Dead Warhog (Tier), 2x RaBo's, Bone Grinders (Max), Slaughterhousers
eKrueger -  Warpwolf Stalker, Megalith, Gorax, Stones + UA, Stones

Circle turn 1 - Charging up!


Farrow turn 1 - Everything runs up.

Strategy Error: Though RaBo's would be killed, and consequently misplayed Fury management causing them to Frenzy on each other in the next turn. I just assumed they would be killed and I could grab Bone tokens, they should have run toward the centre line instead Midas dropped to two Fury.


Circle Turn 2 - Krueger feats, everything gets pushed 3" and takes a penalty to speed except for the Roadhog, Midas and a Slaughterhouser. The Stalker gets Sprint, charges up, kills some Grinders and Slaughterhousers, runs back. Krueger casts some spells, Bone Grinders left as one model, leaves damaging fields in play. Grinders pass command check!


Farrow turn 3 - Fury amounts screwed up, RaBo's frenzy on each other. Warhog trundles up. Bone grinder misses a missile attack. Midas puts Battle Lust on Slaughterhousers, fails to do much to the Stalker. Roadhog damages for speed, charges up, sets stones and Krueger on fire.

Tactical Error: Battlelust was a waste. Should have checked to see if the Grinder could boost Midas' Spell range to get Bad Blood on the Stalker and kept Midas behind the wall for the Defence Bonus. They could kill my heavies then, which next turn pop back up with feat and Corpse Tokens for Health, can probablky pop in charge range, get Massacred and take out his Heavies.

Circle turn 4 - Pic missed. Fire damages Krueger, who charges up to the Warhog. Stalker gets to Midas, hits twice, one gets transferred to the Roadhog, the other does seven damage. Warhog gets damaged heavily, loses Body. Gorax charges Roadhog, does little. Krueger gets surrounded by a set of stones. Megalith advances and put down rough terrain around it.


Farrow turn 4 - Midas burns all his fury, healing 4 point of body on the Warhog and one on the Road hog to restore its lost aspect, then feats to put the Tiered Warhog into play. Living Warhog damages for strength, healed damage stops it losing its Body, gets to Krueger and does a little damage and a big transfer to the Gorax. Slaughterhosuers charge the Stone, one kills the stone the other misses Krueger. RaBo's charge in, do little. Undead Warhog moves in, gets rid of Kruegers last transfer. Road hog charges a stone, Boosts Assaulting Flame attack on Krueger and kills him.

Tactical Error: Should have checked to see if Midas could get LoS on Krueger, if so then heal Road Hog and Warhog for one each, Curse and cast Calamity on Krueger (Potentially not healing Road Hog if it had lost only Body to get a dice to boost to hit the Spell). Grinder also available for range if need be.
