Game 102 - Haley1 vs Zaadesh2 Kapital Kup Heat3 Rnd2
Round 2, had turnout wasn't super so potentially this is the final round of the pair down loses.
Obviously the worst of the Haleys:
Haley1 - Stormwall, Squire, Jakes + Thunderhead, Gun Mages, Arlan, Trenchers (Min) + 3x Grenadiers
Objective: Bunker
Into that most beloved of faction, Skorne run by Vanman.
The pairing is Zaal1 and Zaadesh2, I stare in a haze and didn't really read them because I already knew what I was playing.
It ends up being Zaadesh2, which was a great way of discovering I hadn't updated Warroom on my shoddy tablet. Oh well. He Counter Charges stuff.
Zaadesh2 - Despoiler, Tiberion, Gladiator, Sacarabs, Immortals, Paingivers, Nihilators, Bloodrunners, Orin
List is 10 points over, which I wouldn't have noticed at all but got spotted after the game. Oh well, accidents happen.
Scenario is Outlast, which is fine for me, one side gets a forest, a wall and an obstruction, there's a blob of water in the centre of the table and a hill/awkward forest on the other.
I win the roll, get given first and the side with a wall to my surprise.

Cygnar 1: Everything runs up. Stormwall heads for the left zone across from the Beasts, Gun Mages are centre with Haley, Thunderhead is forced into an awkward spot by the obstruction and Trenchers are up front. I do some random Grenadier shots to see what happens, pops two of the Bloorunners.
Stormwall gets Arcane Shield, now that I've played with Trenchers Haley doesn't need it that often. Definitely not in sod all games list.

Skorne 1/Cygnar 2: Skorne respond by running all the infantry up on the right side, Nihilators up in front of the Immortals. A pair of clouds pops up around the water, preventing all my little guns seeing Zaadesh. Despoiler toes the left zone, where the remaining Blood Runners also go.
Tibbers hangs in the centre, Gladiator is waaaay back.
Haley moves across to tag Despoiler with Temporal Barrier, Deadeye's the Trenchers because I can. For reasons unknown to me I decide to feat.
The Trenchers then obliterate all bar one Nihilator. Stormwall moves up into the left zone, shoots up Despoiler though I forget the feat shot. One Covering Fire template goes down.
The Gun Mages lol around, shoot Despoiler with Snipe shots for giggles. Leave him on 3 boxes.
I also thought Despoiler was Def 11 under Temporal, so missed twice with Gun Mages that should have hit. Oh well. I did the thing I always advise against of rolling the shot I forgot. Mistake, as it would have killed alas.
Thunderhead futses around in the back, all his potential targets being dead. Jakes hides behind the obstruction.
A pod also went down to kill a Blood runner, two of the others getting popped by a Trencher.

Skorne 2: Immortals flood into the right zone.
Zaadesh puts up a three cloud wall in the left zone, then has Scarabs run in front of him as a wall.
Despoiler and Tibbers hide behind the cloud, threatening the Stormwall. The Pod got massacred by something.

Cygnar 3: Initially looked at murdering all the Immortals and pushing scenario on that side, backing up with the Stormwall.
Except Zaadesh is in range of nearly all the guns, so I plot out an assassination instead.
Haley Temporal Barriers, if my units don't do much the plan is to do a shoddy version of my original plan without meaningful unit activations. Trenchers get Deadeye.
The Trenchers and Gun Mages move around, between them the Scarabs all die and the remaining Nihilator who ran into the water and would stop the next play.
Thunderhead gets Energisered, walks forward and pulses Zaadesh, who now has one Fury from the Scarabs. he then buys auto hitting attacks, puts Zaadesh on five boxes with no transfers.
Arlen Empowers Stormwall, advances and bins Zaadesh with his opening shot.
That was that. Had Zaadesh backed up or the Scarabs provided a fair few transfers it would be fine, but sometimes you just get that. Usually only once though. My feat popping was just dumb, though the overall plan I had seemed good (Focus on clearing Immortals, wait for Beasts to be used as contest and finish with concentrated attacks).
