Game 155/6 - Loss/Win Carver vs pKreoss/pMorghoul

pKreoss - Vanquisher, Repenter (Spray), Zealots + UA, The Book, Sunburster, Daughters, Vassal, Rhupert, Choir, Aiyanna + Holt

Carver - 2x Road Hog, 2x War Hog, Slaughterhousers



Lost roll, Menoth go first. Various proxies (Paladin is Rhupert)


Farrow Deploy.


Menoth 1: FORWARD!


Farrow 1: Road Hogs Assault in, Spray sadly falls short of the Monolith Bearer.


Menoth 2: Zealots mini-feat, spike some sever damage rolls on one Road Hog after Aiyana harms it. Menoth kill boxes. Last Daughter charges Carver for two points.


Farrow 2: Slaughterhousers kill the Daughter. Stuff gets stuck in, trampling Road Hog fails to kill Objective, Aiyana/Holt get sprayed killing the wrong one. Aiynna fails command.


Menoth 3: Vanquisher kills the forward Road Hog. Other damage gets thrown around.


Farrow 3: Carver Feats, War Hogs trample up and do very little damage to the Jack.

Menoth 4: Kreoss feats, knocks down the Slaughterhousers, Carver gets shot to death.

Alternate plays: Should have run everything to the left, pulled back and waited for the Zealot mini-feat to go away then killed Rhupert and AIyanna. Insufficient respect given to Zealots spiking damage rolls.

Player Grading
Time Management: 10, not timed but acted quickly enough each turn.
Scenario Awareness: 4, could have stop opponent winning, bt failed to capitalise on early advantage.
Spacing and Placement: 3, needed to change the matchups to be in my favour and did not.
Target Priority: 4, generally chose the wrong targets.
Effectiveness: 6, used some decent dice math, not that the Zealots were listening.
Cool: 5, was not having a good time and became impatient and acted without thinking.
Grade: C (32)

Big general things I need to improve:

1 - After deployment, need to make sure I consider where the opponents army is in relation to mine and how to get to the priority targets.

2 - I suck against new players. Need to manage expectations, not get irritated by issues that can't be helped and aren't anyone elses fault. More players = better meta in time.

Skorne turn 1: Prepare the Yoyo!


Farrow turn 1: Fear the Yoyo!


Skorne turn 2: Molik charges in, kills a War Hog and a Slaughterhouser. Bronzeback fails its charge. Agonizer screams reduce damage and walks up.


Farrow turn 2: Carver Feats, left Road Hog kills the Agonizer, Slaughterhousers and Road Hog kill Molik, Bronzeback admonitions away but gets charged by the War Hog and killed.


Skorne turn 3: Morghoul moves up and feats, Gladiator kills the War Hog. Orin Null spells.


Farrow turn 3: Carver charges Morghoul, hits him down to minimal health, Slaughterhosuers kill the Gladiator, Road Hog aims and kills Morghoul.

Should have made it a sure thing with no risk to Carver. Slaughterhousers go first and kill the Gladiator, Carver puts Quagmire on the Road Hog who walks over to Morghoul. Other Road Hog either moves to the right, prepping to start scoring, or adds its attacks to the Gladiator if needed.

KILL THE BEASTS FIRST FOR THE LOVE OF CTHULHU.

Player Grading
Time Management: 10, no issue if we had a timer.
Scenario Awareness: 5, nobody did nothing with it.
Spacing and Placement: 6, not errible though hard to judge.
Target Priority: 4. BEASTS BEFORE WARLOCK.
Effectiveness: 8, Dice Math was good.
Cool: 6, not really focusing very well.
Grade: Lo B (39)
