Game 104 - Win - Sturm and Drang vs pMakeda

Results: Win
68 - 35 - 1

25 Point Charsaug League. Region: Pick a unit, gains boost dependent on League choices (Brigands got Fearless and tough, Nihilators got +2 Strength and Armour). Close Quarters Scenario.

Sturm and Drang - 2x Warhogs, RaBo, Targ, Brigands, Bone Grinders.
pMakeda - Bronzeback, Gladiator, Nihilators, Pain Givers, Orin Midwinter

Game:

Missed Pick of deployment, Skorne went first and moved up.

Thornfall turn 1, move up. Watcher is up, Vision on lead Warhog.

Skorne turn 2. Filled with crazy shenanigans. Makeda feats (Replace dead grunts in units), Bronzeback gets Rush and a speed boost, charges and busts up some Brigands although a  few tough, it advances up via its beatback animus. Gets to Sturm, hits once which gets transferred, misses with a second attack. Maxed Fury on the Bronze. Nihilators charge up, hit a Brigand who toughs and gets Vision off the rightmost Warhog. Orin moves up, uses Null magic, just getting Sturm and Drang.

Thornfall turn 2. Bone Grinders run out of the way. Sturm moves around threat range of Bronzeback to get away from Orin's Null field. TK's Bronzeback, turning it around and getting it away. Brigands jam up and get out of the way, one dies to a free strike from the Bronze and one toughs a freestrike from a Nihilator.

Warhogs move in, kill Bronzeback with some effort. Self-Harming for strength on the Hog that had eaten the Tranfer stupidly got rid of it's Mind aspect, so it missed most of its attack. Targ wandered up and healed for a little.

Tactical Error: Should not have boosted for Strength on the damaged Warhog, or at least boosted to hit with attacks in stead of relying on 4's on one dice and multiple attacks.
Ignoring Makeda feat was right move. Brigands eminently expendable.

Skorne turn 3. Makeda had to cut herself for fury this turn, as she had space for four and the Bronzeback had filled itself up to five. Nihilators move around, Watcher is triggered multipe times to move Warhog up but not to make attacks. Warhogs damaged but survived. Brigands off the table.

Watcher moves were to stop Nihilator charges, the loss of the damage dice seemed to keep the Warhog going.

Thornfall turn 3. Drang activates, dropping Watcher. Bone Grinders miss Nihilator. Targ uses Medicate to heal Right Warhog for a few points. Right Warhog tramples, killing a bunch of Nihilators, toughing a few more, survives Free Strikes and kills Orin with a bought boosted attack and damage Cleaver. Other Warhog kills/toughs some Nihilators, Goads forward, Crit headbutts Gladiator to knock it down.
Drang Feats, charges Nihilator, uses Obliteration to remove some of the toughed ones.  RaBo kills a Nihilator.

Drang MAT boost on Tramples was good. One of the few times Drang will be better than Sturm. I did regret it multiple times in the turn though, halfway through activations thinking of putting up Watcher or using TK for something.

Skorne Turn 4: Missed Pic. Feat effects of Drang made Makeda cut for Fury again. Gladiator turns around after forcing to stand, kills right Warhog. Path not cleared for Makeda to get to Drang.

Thornfall turn 4. Sturm tags in. RaBo frenzied and killed a Skorne model. Sturm TK's Nihilator to move it away and turn it around, sacs move to aim and uses Spray to kill most of the remaining Skorne infantry. TK's Gladiator to turn it around. Warhog kills the Gladiator.

Skorne turn 5. Pic missing. Makeda killed the Warhog after last few models still couldn't clear a path.

Thornfall turn 5. Drang chosen. Targ kills the Paingiver blocking Drang's chargelane, who toughs. Bone Grinders move in and stab the toughed model, getting it of fthe table. Drang charges Makeda, boosts initial attack and kills her (Half health lost to cutting).

Aftermath: 8. Sturm and Drang feat on Hordes seems nice, doesn't look like it would do much to Jacks. Sturm is going to be wanted for 90% of the game, key seems to be spotting the rare turn you want Drang up.
