50 Point Charsaug League Scenario 1 (Three Objectives, Non-engaged warcaster can take action to remove and gain a CP. Two CP's to win.)
Old Witch + Scrapjack - Behemoth, WGRC (Max), Kovnik Joe, Gorman, Ternion, Sylyss, Great Bears, Kayazy Assassins (Max) + UA, Kell Bailoch, Drakhun with dismount
pMorvhana -Woldwrath, Woldwatcher, Tharn Bloodtrackers + Nualla, Stones, Warpborn Skinwalkers, Totem Hunter, Blackclad, Witch Doctor
List Error: Old Witch lacks armour cracking, and needs to use Gallows to get vital targets in to Behemoths 7.5 threat range, which doesn't work on Huge bases. She must always have the Conquest in future. 6 more points have to dropped to allow that, possibly Ternion and Kell (Though Ternions proved surprisingly useful).
Deployment:
I won the roll off, nothing to grand in the thinking. Kell went in the forest, Melee hitters went on the right, Rifles on the left. Totem Hunter Preys on Scrapjack, WGRC got preyed by the Bloodtrackers. Drakhun on the far right out of picture.
My initial moves, everything runs up for the most part. Iron Flesh goes on Kayazy, Avatar of Slaughter goes on Scrappy. Joe gives Fearless and Tough to WGRC.
Circles opening moves. Regrowth naturally goes on the Bloodtrackers. Witch Doc Undeads/Toughs the Blood Trackers.
End of my turn 2. Scrapjack attempted to do an infantry roll up, but they had tough on and they just wouldn't die when asked to. Witch teleported up, Kayazy ran in. Ternions put clouds on Scrappy, Witch and Great Bears. WGRC put down covering fire, small gap on the left but casualties were expected to be minimal. Joe put Fearless/Tough on the Corp. Drakhun hid behind the building.
End of Circle turn 2. Most models didn't move to survive Old Witches feat. Woldwrath moved up, used a ranged attack to kill Kayazy and place electrical damage fields (The pair of 3' AoE's between Old Witch and Woldwrath). More Kayazy died to Bloodtracker attacks.Totem hunter killed a Rifleman and toughed out another one before Sprinting away.
Not Pictured: Totem Hunter hiding next to the left building.
End of Khador turn 3. IF dropped off the Kayazy, scrappy charges to the left, hitting a Bloodtracker who, surprise surprise, rolls tough. Kayazy charge up, hurt Nuala and a few scattered models. Drakhun and Great Bears charge WoldWrath, hurt it but I was hoping for the kill. Gorman wasn't really placed to be able to do much. Ternion clouded Behemoth and Old Witch and sprayed to get Nualla. Old Witch got the middle objective, teleported next to scrappy, casts Iron Flesh on herself.
Strategic error: Decided not to change initial game plan of going for the left, but with the Skinwalkers there should have put a focus on Scrappy and run him over to the right instead. With the Gargantuan charged up by so much stuff, would have been safer. Prolonged the game by a turn, but a surer win.
End game photo, after circle turn and my final moves.
Skinwalkers damage Scrapjack, Totem Hunter finishes it off and misses Old Witch. Circle also feated, hence the Kayazy disappearing into a horde of forests. Bunch of other moves, not particularly relevant unless the game had continued.
In my turn Old Witch spelled the blocking Skinwalker to death, walked around the objective and removed it, survived Totem Hunter's free strike, scenario win.
Summary: 8. Reasonably happy, but not perfect by any means. Realistically this League scenario is perfect for Old Witch.
