Game 331 - Kraye (HM) vs Wurmwood (BoO)
Epic Pit
Last game of SR17. Using a scenario that stayed in the packet, so nevermind!
In the wake of the sydney event and Steve's merry adventures, I concluded that Junior has successfully passed his eval with flying colours. So much so that what we need is more juniors, not less! Get down that focus strain! Apply the Pat methodology to Arlen!
Caine0 also pre-released his ruleset and the model is in the post, so back to that proxying thing we have a mild distaste for.
I really wanted Ace to fit in, his point higher than a Charger thing caused some issues. Wouldn't have happened if i'd just ignored the Loud Ones rules and had a 74 point list to start with.
I end up dropping a Centurion, a Charger and Arlen.
Caine0, Ace and a Defender go in instead. The Defender is there as an awkward compromise for the two jacks Kraye lost in his battlegroup, plus 16 points is a funky spot for Cygnar jack selection. I almost considered a pair of Firefly or changing Juniors jacks, however only two heavies seems not stellar and sometimes a Shield Guard model is clutch.
Anyway back in the land of corruption and round-a-bouts.Had a night randomly free as did our current pusher of Trees and magic rocks, so lets get rooted.
Wurmwood Megalith, a pair of Wold Wardens, triple Wold pew pew bots that make my upkeeps sad, single Shifting Stones, Double Sentry rocks, support models.
I grabbed the top stack of terrain out of the box, then deployed it via....DUH DUH DUH....the quadrant method. Remember that? Neither did I.
I lose the roll, Circle pick first. They suggest (Such impertinence!) that I take the side with the defensive obstruction. A cunning pschological play, as my contrarian instincts try to kick in and I weigh up switching sides. Thankfully that got wrestled down like a bear and a cub in a consenting adult human relationship out for a night on the town.
Ergo, I get a cloud on my left and a hill/obstruction that poke into the centre zone. There's also a small forest on my right.
Circle have a left side wall, a trench/water feature centrally and their own forest on the right.
The least live scenario in the packet I think? Feels like it won't be to quick anwyay provided I don't lose to much early on turn 2.

Circle 1: Everything moves up, Sentry Stones on either flank.
There's a Farrow Bone Grinder unit. They realise they smell delicous and start stabbing each other, leaving just the unit leader and Wurmwood with three souls.

Cygnar 1: My stuff moves up, generally out of threat ranges. Kraye puts Admonition on the Minuteman, who runs up and to the right. I have just no idea who to put Fire for Effect on (Correct answer is no one) and throw it on the Sentinel, given Junior is going to be hiding until the Wold Pew Pew things are dead and Arcane Shield is worth throwing out. Maybe still worth it on a Centurion? That's a math problem for later.

Circle 2: My Space Cadetness is probably punished with a hard spanking as the Minuteman gets absolutely torched by a Pew Pew Wold. Worst Admonition ever.
Manikins run around as part of a plan to double hellmouth Megalith into the two Chargers I put to far forward. It falls apart when the desire to feat is also maifested, which means Meg's has to trample and gets traded for probably only killing a single Charger.
We roll it out as though Wurmwood doesn't pop feat, instead double Hellmouthing and porting backwrds. I end up with a 60% assassination run, so it's a good thing I don't play Wurmy as that's what I would have done.
In any event Wurmy pops feats, basically taking out the centre of the board. So many trees. Everything else basically runs around in positions of safety.

Cygnar 2: There's a beautiful simplicity to playing on Wurmwood feat turns. Because you can do dick all.
We get a new Centurion Steve as the left msot fella charges up and kills a sentry Stone/enemy objective with the help of Horsepower, then repos out of control. Lynus and Edrea cheer him on.
The Defender moves across, get a bead past Wurmwoods forest to one of the Egg Carriers (Stone Shaper Wold buff doodz) and blows it away before repoing back into the cloud.
Central Centurion polarity fields and contests with a couple of the mechanics.
One Charger moves forward suidcidally, engaging Megs and a Warden to act as an annoyance. The other Charger backs up for the longer game.
Right wise the Sentry toes the zone, Junior hides behind the forest and Ace/Caine track shot the other Egg Carrier to death.
Enemy objective killed, 1-0 to me.

Circle 3:Time since the game is starting to build on me alas. Curse you memory wobbling.
Megalith kills the suicide Charger, one Gallows Grove and pew pew bots toe the left zone.
One warden parks in the centre of the circle zone, Strangleholds the contesting Centurion.
Rightwise the other Warden and pew pew bot kill my objective and slam the Sentinel into Ace.
Circle score on the right, with my objective killed we now sit at 1-2.
[img]https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZA1SswswVZIcRtwKAsbiZ7gKXtUCAOMlZxeoBPPmhtSwjdfHEbP0yitMS845Yk_s65ftVyUbZ9Eta-lGiIkRHvLRe1JmLumIsj2r0CrVLXgxc43NXsGNKGc4eefsT_mofy_RaKv_Qnkjy/s1600/016+%2528800x450%2529.jpg[/img
Cygnar 3: I was pretty happy with my spot at this point psot Wurmwood feat turn, casualties hadn't been the worst and I couold clear out the left with gun shots and keep my feat threat live.
I am struggling with the right side, missing that third Centurion quite badly at this point.
Lynus/Edrea, the Defender and the Charger shoot the pew pew wold in the left zone. Take out maybe half its health. Oh. Damn. I thought it would die with ease from those attacks.
Ace also has a go while Caine kills a Gallows Grove, doesn't help much. They pop Infiltrate.
Still need to score the left to keepsome scoring parity. Alas Kraye has to pop feat to wander over and land a shot, this lets Steve charge in for free after starting out of control and killing it.
Central Centurion is Strangleheld, so he just wonders forward to engage the pew pew Wold in front of him.
Right wise Junior wings the right Warden and repos back to be behind the forest.
I score the left, now 2 all. Not a success turn.
[img]https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB8EpOE53CT7h_MuQXKR_mwSuxauYGxFxIeAjcl5ntcxpxANs8-RISHMSOZ0sN1g9ArH16uajqkNzrpo5Cz7AURf67c_Vy1t8Qb40TUspeRJo_SpmoZYeNVruJAWfkS7xJXFHjxQzSPGsC/s1600/017+%2528800x450%2529.jpg[/img[
Circle 4: Megs goies into Steve on the left, strips a bunch of boxes but fails to take out any systems. Super glad I killed the Egg Carrier strength buff bros.
Wurmwood toes the centre zone and Curse of Shadows the Central Centurion, who missed a free strike on the pew pew Wold he was engaging. He than dies to the Warden in front of him.
Circle stuff takes over the right zone, easily kills the Sentinel.
Hippies score the centre and right scenariom, 2-4.

Cygnar 4: Four rounds and theirs a Sentry stone left alive. Not a good sign.
Defender and Steve kill Megs, the former repo's across to engage a pew pew wold.
A mechanic and the squire contest the central zone, it looks like nothing contested the right zone? That seems like some subpar playstyle there. Practically a DC movie.
The various gun shots plink the Wardens for some damage, I don't think they did a great deal.
kraye ends up way out on the left, so the remaining Centurion is nolonger worthy of a specific appellation.
We both score on the Rectangles, 3-5.

Circle 5: The left Warden and Pew Pew Wold combine their powers and become a subpar Vegeta. They use this new found power to kill the Defender and contest my zone.
The contesting mechanic is brutally murdered, surprisingly the Squire sitting on the hill survives and thus Circle only score the right zone.
Noe 3-6.

Cygnar 5: Well, this is spinning out of control pretty hard. Looking like we'll go the distance and I'll lose on control points, need to start scoring on Circle turns to even the pace.
Between the Centurion, Charger and Kraye the Warden and Pew Pew bot contesting the left rectangle are killed.
Squire runs into the Trench on the Circle side, contesting the centre zone. Ace toes it as well and wings the remaining Pew Pew thing.
Right wise Junior wings the Warden for sod all, then repos behind the forest.
Brave sir Caine runs up into the zone.
....yeah, Caine and Junior *really* should have swapped job here. Woops.
I score the left zone, 4-6.

Round 6/7: Yeah, this is getting foggy as. I end up killing the Wold warden and protecting my zone, scoring it in Circle turns.
Junior follows Caine in exploding whilst contesting.
The last turn of the game I kill the Wold Pew Pew bot scoring the circle right zone, so we end up leveling at 8 all, then I pip it on army points destroyed.
Needed to not waste the Minuteman and have a better plan for contesting the right zone.
Probably enough Kraye for me in the meantime, time to stop being a lazy smuck and get the Haley3 list painted. I don't have the time to get even reasonably across her prior to Wintercon, so that will likely be Winions in any case.
Game 332
I proxied Slayer spam into the above Circle list for a game.
Was weighing up how much I really wanted to write it up, which was solved by the pictures erroring out.
Not a list for me. Not just snowflakyness, I didn't feel I had to play it particualrly well. I ran stuff up, feated to early, moved loads of Slayers out of control. Combo strike and defensive stats meant I rode through with minimal difficulty/effort, jsut had to remember to camp on Gaspy and keep him safe.
Hard pass on doing that for a day of games.

Game 330 - Kraye (HM) vs Irusk2 (WG) - Syd SR Rnd 3
Standoff
Alrighty, round 3 and final for the day, I'm playing up into......the sodding Dumpling Pied Piper.
"I know a great place for food"
All the best Con artists start with some truth, before it rapidly descends into a field of lies.
"It's not far from here"
Innocently trapaise through the streets we did, past innumerable stops unless you count them.
"I'M NOT GOING FURTHER THAN THE BRIDGE"
Screamed our faux frozen kiwi.
Make it to the Dumpling place we did. The Piper seized the last available and left us to our own devices we went.
There's at least another couple lines of bitchin' I could do about bank scamming and stuff, but sod it.
It's Kraye. Centurions. Chargers. Journeyman Twit. Hero Edrea and loser Lynus.

I'm fighting Irusk2 with laods of Winterguard. Single listing events is hard man. There's some Field Guns, Aiyanna/Holt, a Russian Ram Hands and a Spriggan.
I lost the roll, pick the side with an awkard forest to hide Kraye behind on one side. Central obstruction, bunch of walls Initially was cursing that Irusk could hide, then got reminded he had Sac Pawn and that boi wasn't dying anytime soon.

Cygnar 1: Damnable Tilt Cam.
Centurions divide across the board, leftmost gets Arcane Shield and central fella recieves Countermeasures, Chargers do a feeble few points to the Spriggan. Minuteman hides behind the osbtruction with Admonition up.

Khador 2: The evil Laika's advance up, slap an Artifice in the centre of the table. Sentinel Shield Guards a Field Gun and gets shot up a fair bit. Minuteman uses a late turn movement to admonition around the right side of the objective a bit.

Cygnar 2: This where the left Centurion earns the name Steve, as he moves up way out of command on the left and engages some Winter Guard.
Charger and Kraye shots take out a few Winterguard, letting shots take out the central Field Gun.
Minuteman moves up, only to find he's short of both of his targets, being Aiyanna and Kovnik Joe who for some annoying reason has Sac Pawn in theme. What a tool. I try to throw Holt into Joe, they both live because bad decisions should not be rewarded.
Right most Centurion tramples up to engage the Rocketmans and field guns this side.
From here it's not super interesting and the photos are still garbage.. When that right Centurion went up I misallocated a focus so it couldn't get POlarity Shielded and it dies to the Spriggan. Once the Minuteman pops I have to send valuable models to contest the Khador rectangle which is just bad news for the list.
Don't worry, Steve lived.

Game 329 - Kraye (HM) vs *sob* Rahn (FoW) - Syd SR Rnd 2
Spread the Net
It's my personal nemesis, angry magic elves piloted by a FB enigma that must flee before all the school girls. Okay, pilot isn't necessarily the main point here, I struggle as a player against Rahn. I face him enough to live in fear, but not sufficiently to Gatt Gud against him.
Kraye. Triple C and Triple C. Mmmm bop bot. Arcane Shield Twit with Sentinel. support junk. Lynus and Edrea.
Against the far better described:

Cygnar 3: Well, as far as it can the plan is working. Have to keep scoring up. Make some efforts to keep Ret attritionally focused on the right so I can nonja win off the left.
Rahn is sadly to far back to start assassination dreams, so that'll have to be re-examined later.
Left wise, Steve moves back into the zone, awkwardly trying to be in enough that he can avoid being pushed out whilst not so near that Helios can about face and drag him in to death. Neither prospect feels strong, sometimes you have to guess to many 5's on the die pips ('cause a Pirates franchise reference will definitely land).
Arlen camps the flag. Junior runs up to be in this area, I'm expecting Arlen to get popped shortly after which the Twit will have to take over scoring duties.
Kraye feats, then wanders around to the far right side of the building. The feat is to maximise the odds that the Centurion in front of Helios will be able to kill the Phoenix, who is the logical model to make a dash for the Ret rectangle zone. The positioning on the right side of the house is to allow Kraye to run up the flank in future turns, as I'm expecting in order to drag the game out from here I'll have to focus camp and just run nuts on the road style to absorb Ret model attacks and clock time.
Central Charger shoots the Glove Hands contesting the Ret rectangle, then pings the Phoenix. This gets Shield Guarded away by the Helios, so the dinged up squad of lights in my rectangle take on that duty. They land it and kill a couple Glove dudes. One recieved Admonition from Kraye, he repo's up to contest the Ret flag.
Edrea moves up and kills Eiryss with her blast damage, so that was a pleasant surprise. POW 6 is so unstoppable. A broken sink hole would presumably be unstopperable.
I score my flag and both rectangles, now 4-1.

Freddy Rahnguer wrecking my dreams 3: Basically, Helios tires of my nonsense.
Hydra moves up after some Rahn TK-ness and kills the Admonitioned Charger contesting the Ret flag, which an Arcanist then sits on.
Helios then drags the centrally placed Charger and Sentinel in, kills the Centurion and Sentinel. Leaves the Charger on a handful of boxes.
I think Glove Hands implode Edrea? basically something touches her and she implodes, MMA Spider style.
Glove dudes once again push Steve around, contest the Ret rectangle. One pushes Arlen off my flag and does five damage.
Ret score their flag, now 4-2.

Cygnar 4: My God. There's a chance, if I can pop the two little dudes in the Ret rectangle I'll be super close to the scneario close out. Slim odds, but close.
Let's check some ye old threat ranges. The front Glove bloke can be popped by Junior and/or Arlen.
Hmm. Back one is a bit further back than I thought.
Oh. Nothing can do it. Arlen is out of both spray range and Focus giving so Steve can charge, Junior is to far away, the Charger in front of Helios is missing both Gun and Cortex so can't possibly hit, Kraye and the other remaining Charger are waaay out of range.

More to the point I didn't take it with aplomb and felt some salt, which is lame and the thing I hate doing the most in any game. Quite disappointed about that, though not as much as Youtube ad selection, come on guys, I'm clearly never going to pay for a service to tell me how garbage my writing is and your actual vid features a dude saying "Does this thing fixed by a program sound like me". Anyway, I kill the mitten I can and shuffle contesting models around.
It's desperation time. The healthy Charger moves up and shoots Rahn, gets 7 damage through the focus.
Kraye runs up the side of the board with 5 camp and Arcane Shield, it's Rahn hunting time.

Rahn in Space 4: Pair of mini-Mittens moves into the Ret rectangle, one engages Centurion Steve.
Helios mulches the Charger contesting the centre zone and my rectangle, uses it's gun to send the charger on the Ret flag a million miles away.
Mini-Mittens on the right run around, one engages Kraye like a meany.
An Arcanist runs to the Ret flag.
We both score our flags, so it's 6-3.
For reference, my current models are Arlen and Junior around my flag, Centurion Steve in the Ret rectangle, a lone Gobber mechanic in the centre zone, the Squire and Lynus around my rectangle, Kraye and one healthy Charger on the right side board edge.

Agent Rorange 5: Did......is the mistake jsut that I flipped clock and didn't bother to count my scoring for a turn???
Anyway, Kraye gets killed brutally.
Hmmmmmm.
Game unpack, the critical point: I tilted, which is lame, now I'm tilting on tilting. I hate my brain. better think of something cool about me.....
.....
.....
.....
One of my rare tasks at work is catching snakes by grabbing their tails and dangling them in the air. Does that count?
Hindsight, I should have selected second to ensure I got the hosue side and get poitns on the board first. I ended up pseudo doing so on top of 3, however that doesn't give me an immediate lead.
Early wise, I'm torn on the Minuteman moving up. I've got to kill the Chimera at some point and it did give me an early clock elad, though not enough of one for that to be a valid win condition in the closing stages. I think I'd do it again, lacking an alternate plan.
I didn't leave a solo on the flag bottom of one, assuming that would get Arlen killed to early when I wanted him as my defensive flag scorer. The way it played out this was wrong, however if he was there it seems likely he becomes an early target of opportunity and gets mulched. Again solved by proper selection of going second.
Sentinel should have been body blocked, then it is more likely to avoid being knocked down and can shield guard a Hypnos shot. It's only a delaying factor, however you need every little bit in a disadvantaged matchup which this definietly is.
Model wise, Junior was actually amazing as a backup scorer and just popping a model every so often. Repo makes him excellent in that roll. Abandoned the idea of hte Sentinel having focus early on, didn't seem to matter. Arcane Shield proved important in the later stages for Kraye to have that last minute assassination. Lynus and Edrea were lucky to kill Eiyrss, however they could make the attempt unlike the other models in the list. Wind Blast situationally good. it horrifies me how much they just do workwhile stuff in games.
This took way to long to write up, next couple reports will liekly be shorties (Though usually when I say that I screw it up and they on forever).

Boo yeah, no inane struggle to identify Ret jacks! Except on the table during the game.
Incidentally, this was also a store filled with kids burning cash on bits of paper, so there was a request to not swear for the day. This went poorly in general, I kept a stick to count my own screw ups with. End of last game had 5.
I won the die roll, I select first. Want a turn of running up the board before the despair really sets in.
My side gets an obstruction in the back right, a wall on the left.
There's a central forest, with another one to the left of it. There's a wall to the right.
Ret get a weird square trench to the left and a circle of rubble to the right.
Pretty sure as far as Ret are concerned the table is open enough to not be a problem. Not that Helios super cares about terrain trying to block it's rando drag powers (it is, sadly, Fishy as all hell).
Getting the building on my side means Kraye can hide in a spot and make the assassination run not super worthwile, which means I can drag the game out and hope for a mistake that gives me a chance.

Cygnar 1: Stuff moves up in a rough line. Admonition goes on the right most Centurion, a charger gets CM. More first turn reflex than anything else, my expectations for those upkeeps are low.
Junior puts Arcane Shield on Kraye.
Only really interesting move at this point is the Minuteman classic, who runs behind the right wall. I'm expecting him to explode, so it's more optimism that I might get to kill something that comes for him in retaliation. If I'm super lucky he'll get left with a handfull of boxes and get to Flak Field Eiryss.

Zap Rahnigan 1: Polarity Field is on Helios, it being a pain for me is an irony that feels somewhat deserved at this point. The Chimera Apparates forward and runs, this lets Rahn Force Slam thingy the Minuteman, who then gets shot by Eiryss and some magic hand dudes. He is nought but dust on the wind. A tear is shed for our bold hero, who is obviously the bearded gnome failing to point at the evil plaguing the world known as the Helios.
Everything else moves up and whistles jauntily.

Cygnar 2: Ret have basically blobbed up hard on the right side of the board. Spread the net gives me a glimmer of hope here, if I can score cheap points on the left and do a contest limp along on the right maybe I can work something. Perchance to dream.
A Centurion accepts a dodgy movie deal from a pirated version of Netflix, thus is retroactively named Steve. Steve's adventures basically consist of being an expensive model that doesn't even pretend to adhere to control range as an idea ("The foul enslavement tool of our Warcaster Overlords" was one of the early series catch phrases that got discarded).
....anyway, Centurion Steve tramples and repo's way up the board to toe the Retribution rectangle.
Arlen makes his way to my wall, ready to seize the flag. Carpe Flaggum?
Other jacks hang around on the centre and right, making a vague blob in front of Kraye. Charger and Sentinel shots manage to trash the Chimera, so at minimum there's some army points destroyed out there. Minimum moral victory coditions met!
Lynus and Edrea wind blast and stand in front of Kraye as he hugs the building, as Helios from memory is one of the few Ret jacks without magical-ness on his gun.
Junior is so far back he's not in the photo.

Rahn you must have been dreaming, stories like this can't be true, Rahn you're talking in riddles and it's not liiiiike youuuuuu 2: Phoenix moves up into the central forest, Rahn feats and TK's the middle and right most Centurion around. Goodnight sweet Polarity Field, you were to good for this world.
Helios moves up and pew pews both Centurions forward, kills one and takes half the health off the other. I luck out and the damaged Centurion keeps all its systems. Steve shakes his head at their foolishness from his position in Woop Woop (it's SE of Perth).
Battle Mages otherwise move around, left squad shoves Steve out of the Ret rectangle.
Right unit knocks down the two Chargers and Sentinel in my rectangle, plus one Charger gets disrupted by Eiryss who sits on the Ret flag.
Ret score their flag, I actually score my rectangle so it goes to 1-1. Unexpected hope maybe?

Game 328 - Kraye (HM) vs Orion (DI) - Syd SR Rnd 1
Game 328 - Kraye (HM) vs Orion (DI) - Syd SR Rnd 1
Breakdown
Travelled up to ye old big city, where the singing how is shiny, the bridges mighty, the streets filthy and the Dumplings irretrievable. More on that later.
My three hour trip to test Kraye against new probably bad matchups hits a stumbling block, as I draw......the local who was visiting last week on the same scenario we played those two games on.
And Orion is correctly dropped.
Short and sweet impending!
Same list for me at this point, triple Centurion/Charger, Junior with a Sentinel who is on trial for the day, useful support models and Lynus/Edrea.
Orion with a proxied Axiom, Monitor, double Assimilator, Corrolary, Servitors. Time to be dragged and mulched.
I win the doll roll on the third attempt, there's walls on one flank I can use to hide Kraye behind regardless so I nab first. I actually end up with my preferential side, which has a concealment wall and the nearer side of the central obstruction. The other side can use the obstruction to hold the centre zone, however to do so they'll have to move up into my threat ranges.
The right side of the board is an empty barren wasteland of death and misery.
There is a forest on either side of the board, given both lists amount of pathfinder and Orion's ability to cast Magesight I basically ignored them at this decision point.

Cygnar 1: Axiom placement weights the CoCinites side to the left. Odd decision in my view, it could dominate the right half and seize that zone with little issue, left side gives me a chance to use the wall to threaten it. I'll take it. Everything moves up, mostly out of threat ranges, going first gives me the scenario relevant threat positions anyway.
Minuteman is the exception, it moves up behind the obstruction. A couple shots can go for it if they want, means they aren't running up to be positionally relevant.
Said Minuteman gets Counter Measures. He's going to die, however making Orion use melee doesn't seem to be something he's super down with from past games.
Admonition goes on the centre Centurion, he leans toward the left to play the dance with the Axiom.
Arcane Shield *should* be on the left Heavy to make it maximum effort the Axiom to go in after it kills the left most Assimilator. Alas, trampling repositioning Centurions move faster than Juniors walk and cast range, so by genius misplay I end up putting Arcane Shield on the right Centurion instead. I don't even activate Arlan. Stronk at gamez.

CoC 1: Conservative advance, staying outside of the theoretical Centurion threat range.
Left Assimilator gets up and shoots the left Centurion, wings it a little, triggers Magic Bullet to kill a repair Gobber.
The Monitor and right Assimilator attempt to shoot the Minuteman, both miss. Hoorah for Cover. Avenged Sevenfold spell is up. Reflex Servitors move up front and dig in.

Cygnar 2: A blob of Servitors near the Axiom and Charger positioning encourages lining up shots on the models in the centre. The key opening point is "Can the Minuteman do anything cool". Because Minutemen are cool.
Two of the Chargers and the Sentinel move up and shoot out the Reflex Servitors, they then ping vectors and take out other Shield Guards. Actual point was just to remove those Reflex fellas, which allows the Minuteman to move up, jump, engage and throw the Corrolary into the rectangle zone. It then repos and engages the Assimilator.
The final Charger dings said Corrolary, leaving it on a handful of boxes. The centre Centurion (Has Admonition) has to charge in to finish it off, then it repositions to but up against one of the CHargers that is using the obstruction as drag protection.
Left Centurion moves up into the fort of walls. Turns out they are also wider than normal, so Assimilator one inch melee doesn't cut it. Sweet.
Right Centurion with Arcane Shield shuffles into the right zone. Force of habit puts it in forest concealment. Lynus/Edrea toe this zone and put up Wind Blast.
Focus straining means the centre Centurion didn't have a focus to Polarity Field. Sadness.
Good turn, Minuteman doing his thing. I don't actually think the Corrolary matters that much, it's always worth taking however it's not the end of the world. Just allocate like the rest of us mundane non-Induction smucks.

CoC 2: Orion movies into the forest and misses his Avenging shot.
Orion throws focus out, feats, aims and shoots the central Charger. This pushes the Admonitioned Centurion out into the open, allowing the Axiom to move up, drag it in and murder it without issue.
Left zone gets some Servitors move in, the Assimilator goes up and Grounder Pounders to kill two more mechanics and rip off the left most Chargers gun arm.
Right side Assimilator murders the innocent Minuteman in a tradegy soon to be released in my underground newspaper, "What have you done?!", subtitles "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo".
Monitor wings the Sentinel.
Vectors overall hang back, as Servitors run in to contest.

Cygnar 3: Normally I'd clear out the zones and set up a good scenario situation, however Orion is out of position and needed more models around to block him off, so I can get a charge on the Galvanizer with the left Centurion then stab him (Orion is juuuuust past the 3 inch point in the forest to stop the direct charge.
Said Centurion gets focused up, Chargers and Sentinel do as well.
Kraye pops feat and Horsepower, moves up to shoot at the Galvanizer. Misses a shot, then kills a Servitor, repos back to behind the obstruction in spirit of optimism if this fails.
The Sentinel moves up and gets max shots, kills off the remaining pair of Shield Guards and lands a bullet on Orion. Sweetness. It then takes a pair of Chargers to off Sundial man back to the moon. Sweetness.
Lucked out with that central obstruction. I somewhat want to play this matchup from the Convergence side and see how accurate my read of everything is. Pondering if maybe I underestiamte the CoC problems of their jacks have potato defensive stats (Bad potato's like Gulag operators, not good ones that make the clear drink I use to cure all my mental issues with no long term repercussions).

Game 327 - Kraye (HM) vs Orion1 (DI)
Game 327 - Kraye (HM) vs Orion1 (DI)
Breakdown
The concession in the last game gives us the chance to squeeze in another.
I'm just saying that the Iron Man trilogy is pretty garbage.
Speaking of more people of Iron, this time it's Kraye into Orion, the correct Convergence drop in my view.
My list is unchanged from the last game, trip Centurion and stuff. Junior with Sentinel being the primary testing point.
Orion is in Destruction Initiative, this time with an Axiom, a pair of Assimilators, a......thing with a Buzz Saw gun whose name I forget and a Diffuser. Random number of Servitors. Well, a specific number of Servitors I'm to lazy to count.
Same table setup, same die result shenanigans. I keep my same tableside, though the logic of that is based on a very different game plan.
To my mind the opposing list will win any game that goes past turn 3. The Axiom can easily drag in a pair of jacks which then get killed in melee by Assimilators, while Kraye needs to camp half his stack every turn to rpevent half arse assassination which means my jacks are fighting ineffeciently.
Ergo, the plan is move stuff up and bait a Kraye assassination. Prey that it fails, then counter assassinate. To that end I have to deny Orion the forest, if he hides behind it then I'm probably stuffed.

Some Men Like It To Be Kicked 1: Convergence move up. Servitors make a line behind everything. Axiom on the right side, Orion goes into the trench.

Cygnar 1: Avenging Force is up, I avoid taking any shots in case Avenging Force puts Kraye in melee range of something, which I likely wouldn't survive. I eyeball that four focus is the highest camp I can go and entice the assassination run, player pschology that I'm used to involves a max camp deterring any attempt.
Kraye gets Arcane Shield, which just forces the Spell Piercer casting. Still have to put it up and force the activation anyway. In the vein of "Add stuff to make it harder" I put Counter Measures on the Minuteman, who then moves up, jumps and Repo's to engage the Axiom. Farewell sweet prince.
Centurions all move up in a line with Polarity Field up, Chargers make another rough life behind them. Sentinel sits near Kraye.

Weinstein has to inject his with drugs 2: There's initially an offer to roll out the assassination run and play a long game, I veto it as the entire point of hte plan is for the assassination run to make Orion go somewhere unsafe.
Sure enough, it's triggered.
Orion moves up, puts up Spell Piercer and Magic Bullet. Shoots the Sentinel to drag Kraye off the hill.
Assimilators, Diffuser and the....Monitor! That's it! All move up and try shots. One Assimilator misses, the Monitor gets Shield Guarded, some focus spends and Kraye survives comfortably on ten boxes. Axiom can't possibly get away from Counter Measures to do shots at this point, Gearmen concede before a pair of Centurions murder Orion and his garbage defensive stats (As taught to me by glorious Who's the Bossness).
Well, that was somewhat of a surprise in it's effect. Always easy to math on perfect execution, doesn't mean it plays out that way.
Without Axiom, a Shield Guard and none of the Servitors having a go, that assassination runs pans out as a 28% assassination chance. Better than I thought. Every focus point less basically adds +20% or so to the odds of dying.
Next lot of games should be the weekend tourney. My cunning plan is to take two lists and never drop Kraye. 100% win rate assured.

Game 326 - Kraye (HM) vs Axis1 (DI)
Breakdown
'tis the day of Goat Chariot fella, so gamez time. Had a pilgrim down from the real nations capital, it's a return to the lunatic cultists needlessly obsessed on mechanical components, featuring a pairing of Axis and Orion. Was genuinely surprised it wasn't a proxied Locke given her rules just popped out, I'm sure that will happen in the future (I'm not ready for MAT 9 Vectors and Jackhammer. I'm just not.).
I only have the Kraye list, Axis gets dropped which I didn't think was the right call. Could be wrong, we'll see.
Kraye is still triple Centurion, triple Charger, Minuteman, Lynus/Edrea, support models including Junior with a Sentinel.
The journeyman is on thin ice at this point, if he doesn't do good things by the end of the weekend tourney he's out. His Sentinel just feels garbage compared to Kraye's Jacks. Caine0 would be a show in, accept he won't be in general release until after I'm theoretically done with Swans (Though time constraints and painting sloth is making the odds of getting Haley3 together for the mid year con are not even dicey, it's super edgy, like a tweens instragram account).
Opposing list is Destruction Initiative. Never charge CoCites. Double TEP, double Donginator, Cipher, Diffuser, smattering of Servitors and repair dudes.
Polarity Field stopping the Countercharge shenanigans looks pretty tops, reposition stops his feat from locking me down, the scenario can be relatively easily contained. However my number of guns looks awkward with that many disposable shield guards, so well see.
CoC win the die roll and pick first. There's a central wall no matter what, the side I take has a defensive hill and a protectie forest on the left, which gives CoC a wall on the left and a defensive trench, however those would be poor selections as they don't stop the TEP sprays in anyway.

Convergence 1: There's only a single pod of Reflex Servitors, who move up and dig in. Miscellaneous Servitors move up on either flank, then the TEPs, with Axis and Battlegroup in the centre. Standard TEPness, I've never seen them centrally and always ponder why it isn't tried more. Induction lines don't need to be perfect IMO.
There's also an ADO proxying as Eilish in the centre of the lines.

Cygnar 1: Time to Kray Kray. As in spread out like mad.
Axis was camping zero at this point, however he ahd three Shield Guards so it seemed like a waste of Charger shots to go for it.
The Chargers and Sentinel move around and pew pew, one kills the centre and right side Reflex Servitors. The two left Chargers shoot the elft side TEP, due to running he hasn't got his free Sac Pawns so I'm more reliably killing Shield Guard Servitors. It also would have been a win if the TEP just took some damage, so that was a happy situation for me, need to kill those sodding Servitors sooner or later.
Centurions roughly configure against the Vector lineup, which leans toward my right. ergo one Centurion goes left with Admonition, other two go right with the more central one getting Arcane Shield.
Minuteman gets Counter measures as part of the TEP annoyance plan, moves over to the left. Eilish has to choose where he wants to pop upkeeps from that way, banking on most people having default responses to geet rid of Arcane Shield where possible.
Mechanics go left to score that zone in the future, Lynus and Edrea go right. Edrea throws out her magic nuke, gets the perfect scatter onto the line of four Servitors and killing 3 of them. POW 6 strong style, Shinsuke would be so proud.

Groin Joke 2: Axis ponders moving up behind the wall to pop feat, decides against it going for a conservative retreat plan. In limited Kraye game thus far this has worked out pretty well for me, so happy with that.
Left wise a Servitor lands his Beacon garbage on the Minuteman (I forget to even check for Counter Measures, so strong play right there). That flanks TEP then scotts over behind the wall, sprays the Minuteman down to a pair of Cortex boxes.
The Reflex Servitor moves to the centre zone, An Inverter hangs out behind it, looking like its ready to protect the left TEP.
Axis waddles into the Trench.
Rightside the Cipher and Inverter waddle on the hill, Flaring the Arcane Shielded Centurion. The right TEP then sprays it, knocking out it's 3 and 4 columns, which takes out no systems. That happened last game, must be something about Cygnar.

Cygnar 2: No aggresive Axis feat or palcement means that I can now do teh scenario push game.
The centre zone is a death trap, so that's where the less valuable stuff can go to die. Otherwise I can send a Centurion into both TEPs, unfortuantely I lack the means to get more real attacks so killing them isn't a certainty. Need at least one to die so Kraye can have a safer side to flee to.
Kraye shuffles on his hill, staying out of TEP range and pops Horsepower. I keep Admonition going and drop Countermeasures in order to get focus out.
Leftwise the Minuteman gets repaired by the Mechanik and one Gobber for the max 9 points, so that was nice. Said fella then moves up, using Flakfield and his shots to pop off the indepentent Servitors that are contesting the left zone.
The Centurion pops Polarity Field to stop the nearby Inverter ruining his day, he then charges the TEP and spikes hard to kill it (12% chance to kill. Would be 55% without the need to Polarity) then repositions backward.
Chargers in this vicinity wing said Inverter for some damage.
Sentinel goes into the centre zone, kills the contesting Reflex Servitor.
Rightwise the Arcane Shielded Centurion Polarity Fields and goes into the right TEP, alas leaves it on a more normal 8 boxes. Then repositions out of walk and punch Inverter range. It's well and truly out of my control area, such is the Kraye life.
The other Centurion toes the edge of the right Circle, Lynus and Edrea contest as well with Wind Blast up.
I score the left and centre zones, now 2-0.

Protected by a Coffee Drinking Apparatus 3: Axis feats, mostly on his own stuff, though he does get the Sentinel and the left Centurion. Backs up.
The left Inverter with iron Aggression now on it charges the Minuteman, alas its engagement of the Centurion is undone by Admonition.
One shots the Minuteman. Like ya do.
Cipher/Diffuser shoot the central Centurion for some wing damage.
The right TEP hurts the Arcane Shielded Centurion quite badly, it is then finished off by the Inverter trampling up to it.

Cygnar 3: All about zone clearing now. Cygnar, winning off of bureacracy.
Centurion and Chargers easily kill the Inverter on the left, Sentinel kills off the centre Servitor.
Right wise the other Centurion and some ranged attacks cripple but don't kill the Inverter. Alas.
In any event I get up 4-0 and CoC concedes, not contesting with the Cipher in the centre making the game relatively easy for me from here.
Dammit Junior, you were meant to achieve nothing so I could write you off. Arcane Shield was actually relevant, forcing a lot of effort to go into killing the right Centurion. He couldn't be ignored either, as even without focus he had good odds of finishing off the nearby TEP. Not having to fuel up the Sentinel was somewhat of a focus burden relief on the always taxed Kraye. Grumble. Hiss. Winning is Cygnar problem land.
