MK2 Breakdown.
Alright, time for some random pie charts and junk!
I played 440 games in Mk 2, might get another couple in but it won't be a meaningful amount.
Originally I was going to spew this junk out at the 500 mark, but oh well.
Point Levels

No real shocks here, got my start on 25 point games and went up from their. The 15 points games are strictly for when Leagues had a "play every point level" goal, the 42 pointers was because that was the Sunday tourney instead of a Who's the Boss when the Masters finals were on at one Wintercon.
Game Types

I thought Slams would be higher, but likely that's just a perception from the last few years. If the current trend goes for MK 3 I'd expect "Slams" and the nebulous category of "other" would be equal, with Tourneys again being at most 20%.
SR 2015 Scenario Count

A wonky table at best, I started playing SR packets so scenarios that carried across have an inflated number. In that view Recon isn't doing to bad.
Factions Played

Genuinely surprised the Minions games didn't overtake Khador, my first faction that I've played squat all of for a couple years.

I'm sure that Gorten there is a real shock. He always had the lead, even before the OTC practice gave him a hand. Bart is so high because I was consumed by sussness and wanted a non-Fiona non-Durgen Cryx drop. Eventually Rob bought me the explodey dwarf so I could run out of excuses, for which he was absolutely right on what to play.

The Khador and Skorne numbers fit the perception of the Canberra meta in my head. Genuinely surprised Cryx is that high, thought it'd be third or fourth.
I find it saddening that Convergence is higher than Minions. Alas poor Piggy Gators, your future will be brighter I hope.

Spurious data really, given the sample size versus the amount of casters in the game. Up until a few months ago pMakeda was actually ahead, but a few games in OTC practice bumped Butcher 3 ahead. Pretty good for a newer caster.
Ashlynn is a legacy of my early days against one of the mates I learnt to play with, it's where I getmy principle instinct response of "She sucks" (Feat turn power up! Yeah! Shit, I'm knocked down. I'm dead.)
Other random junk:
My favourite games year by year!
2012 - Karchev vs Timeos' pSorscha
My first Mk 2 game, wherein I'd read the rulebooks a couple times in the week proceeding but had a 40k mindset still. Tim gently corrected me when I rolled command checks for my units to do the Shield Wall order (IT FELT RIGHT AT THE TIME!). The actual game here is meaningless, more important was Tim made me feel like coming back the week after (Chappy as well, but he got the second game. My original notes had that as "Karchev vs Weird Assassin dude", it is only now that I can appreciate he was okay to play the terrible matchup of eMorghoul into Karchev. Hindsight on that warlock assassination run on Karchev with anatomical Precision was hilarious. It didn't work.)
2013 - eMagnus vs himself, with the Badge Vest Guy
Definitely not about the gameplay here, just a memorable moment. I know I haven't seen Haidos play Magnus since. He moved. I moved. He feated. I feated. Epic Eiryss Arcane Interferenced both our battlegroups the whole game because I couldn't kill her. Game result was one dead Buccaneer to my Kayazy and a concession before they could charge Haidos' Magnus after the feat fest.
2014 - Karchev vs Moopsicles eAbby
Only time I've ever made a list that instantly clicked and didn't need a single change. Also the first time I won a proper Slam.
Obviously on a break from ye old Circle, Moopadon tried out Abby with the Archangel. He also learnt the most meaningless trivia (Unearthly Rage gives magical weapons! Take that contesting Feralgeist!).
Playing on Outflank, which I think has consistently produced the most interesting games for me, essentially Karchev ran around while Black Ivan Crit Brutal Damaged the world. Marvelous.
2015 - Arkadius vs Claws of Edragon.
A random late Monday game where I'd consumed enough sugar to melt my internal organs.
Beasts would charge in, kill stuff. Counterattack would beat the hell out of them. They'd heal and kill a bit. Remainng stuff would knock them down in health again. They heal back a bit.It was Pschosurgery for an eternity. Butcher eventually tired of the shenanigans, going to finish off my lagging War Hogs. My last heavy, a brutalized Road Hog, watched Arkadius Stationary him before limping over and murdering the Khadoran lunatic.
2016 - Gorten into Elmin's fair and balanced Haley
Clash of Titans game, so not long ago. A brutal game where I became blind to Stormpods and added about seven turns of Gorten and a Gun Mage man moding the world.

440 - Karchev vs Sorscha
Screw it, let the less pointful reps continue!
Mk 2 limps along waiting to evolve as Karchev returns to face off against Sorscha's Prime incarnation.
Outflank, because giggity. Well, main dice.
It's the Karchev/Malakov list returning to glory.
Sorscha has Nyss, looking lost without Valachev. She has a Spriggan, opposing Malakov has Behemoth.
Deployments! Bull Snapper is a sub for an opposing Tinker.

Sorscha has Nyss, looking lost without Valachev. She has a Spriggan, opposing Malakov has Behemoth.
Deployments! Bull Snapper is a sub for an opposing Tinker.
Turn 1's: Sorscha's Bro's move forward. karchev's Pirates then do the same Spriggan and Black Ivan do their traditional team up to flare and fail to kill the opposing Eiryss. It's 2, so the Focus Allocate bomb of all time is incoming. Until my Eiryss moves up and handidly shoots her clone.
Sorscha 2: She gets right up the middle of the board, feats, then bugs out away from murder range.
Widows plink the Risen LoS wall in front of my Malakov.
Nyss defenestrate some Press Gangers. A few end up in the sad state of both Stationary and Knock down. Dougal kills Hawk and clears a lane for the Redlined, Boundless Charged Behemoth to go in and absolutely destroy my Spriggan. His Bombs put Malakov on one box.
Karchev 2: Focus gets thrown down. Karchev feats and wonders onto the hill/Wreck Marker/zone. The Jugger goes into Behemoth and flubs the damage rolls, knock off about half of him. It was sad. Gorman Rusts the Spriggan, who Black Ivan then goes into and takes out an arm.
Press Gangers just shake it off. Eiryss disrupts the Spriggan.
Turns 3: Sorscha goes into the right zone, Nyss clear it all off. Widowmakers create LoS to Malakov. Behemoth pounds at Malakov, first shot misses and blows up Risen, second rolls the Box cars to hit and gets Suckered to Tinker.
Press Gangers become a heavily endangered species.
Spriggan Bulldozes things.
My Eiryss Eiryss shoots hit Malakov, leaving him on a box. He then gets butchered by Risen, who in turn get spent by Alexia who leaves the Spriggan with just movement boxes.
Gorman clears some Nyss with a Corrosion bomb.
Karchev goes for a run, send Black Ivan into Sorscha He lands the hit, leaves her on five boxes.
Juggernaught tramples, kills Aiyanna and Holt.
Sorscha 4: karchev, represented by the Spriggan legs, gets mauled by Every Nyss possible and Sorscha. The Movement only Spriggan moves four inches to Bulldoze the world.
karchev is left with no Left Arm or Movement.
karchev 4: Ivan comes in and gets it done!

439 - OTC Rnd 7 - Gorten vs eLylth
Final Round!
NSW have locked in the overall win, so it's plays for fun and a slightly improved win record at this point. I'm 3 - 3, so here's hoping for a positive record at the end.
Last round is into the Maroon disciples of Banana Bender land.
For whatever reason our grids were very friendly to this team, more than any other I think. After the Ret face punch I was expecting anything, then they had two Legion players so that was that.
Into Legion I went!
This time it's Skillyths theme force, so slightly faster triple Ravagores and weird stealth infantry I'd never seen before.

Legion Deploy: After a surreal conversation about what winning the dice roll meant (It'd been a long weekend for most people at this point), I picked the side that was vaguely less annoying. Really I wanted to score first and having 5 inches of safety on turn 1 movement didn't enthuse me.
Beasts to the left, everything else Advance Deployed way forward.

Merc Deploy: Stuff ready to die.

Legion 1: It all moves up, optimistic Scathers went down from the Gorebots. Infantry spread around.

Merc 1: Press Gangers run forward into the zones. Gun Mages stay away from the beasts and miss every shot on the ranger dudes. Only half were in range to be fair, but it didn't instil a sense of confidence in their ability.
The Gorten bunker deployed.
Anastasia ran out of camera shot to the far left of the board and started making distraction noises.

Legion 2: After some pointed questions about how the Gorten Bunker worked, Lylth feated and elected to shoot not that.
The infantry and Lylth killed a load of Press Gangers, she herself moved up, Pincushioned the Earthbreaker and walked back.
The Naga, presumably suffering a headache from her at this point, moved into the left zone and blew apart Anastasia.
The Ravagores all shot the Earthbreaker, did about 75% of it and left a big stack of Scather templates on it.

Merc 2: Simple enough, Gun Mages clear out the right zone. If they fail Gorten has to go up the middle of the board and feat on as many beasts as possible, if they succeed I hold feat for the full scenario rush next turn.
Risen spawn aggressively forward.
Gun Magges move up, sure enough they make up for last turn by clearing out most of the zone.
Press Gangers go into the Rangers on both sides, they clear out the last chump in the right zone.
The right Ranger unit fails its command check.
The Gorten Bunker reassembles in the right zone, Risen run out of command to be annoying.
Tinker repairs the Earthbreaker.
it then moves and kills a couple Rangers, then gets unrepaired by the Scathers.
Mercs go to 2 CP.

Legion 3: Henroner, having run his beasts hot, leaves them all on one Fury. The Naga and one Ravagore frenzy and munch on things.
Lylth clears out Risen and goes into the left zone. The beasts and left Rangers mulch more of the unit.
Late in the turn, El Wagono realises he hasn't contested the right zone. The unit on that side rallies but can't move in, the last Deathstalker to activate tries to clear off the remaining Ravagore, but the Lass toughs away. Ravagore then charges into the left zone for some ancillary points.
legion go to 2 CP, Mercs go to 4 CP.

Merc 3: Allocate one, Tinker runs into the left zone. I take a minute, having learnt from the Clash of Titans match against the Elminster, to ensure I do in fact win without further activations. I end up cruising to my only win on scenario (Bad Gorten player! Bad!)
And the weekend was done. The team alas went 2-5, doesn't matter, had cider and meant a series of vague friendly faces. Would hang out again, have to do anyway to remember who the hell I drank with this time around.
Personally went 4-3, playing Gorten all around. I'd like to say average dice would make it 6-1, but the reality is the losses were eminently controllable, though outside of the Issyria derp I had the right idea.
Not a lot of value to posting the last few MK 2 games since OTC, last post from this thread will hopefully be my MK 2 games breakdown.
Big thanks to el Chibster, for driving me to and from the event and graciously saving the rest of us from the ACT Team Anchor "award", Edster for Captaining the pack of cats, Southron for making us look like shit guys, Haidos Barbados for not rightfully blowing up at me over the clock mishap and in general being good teamies.
438 - OTC Rnd 6 - Gorten vs eVayl
Second last round, into the Viccers.
Scenario is two fronts, I got good old eVayl, per the plan. This is the six heavy variant, so no Hex Hunter annoyance.
Lively scenario this time, so plan is to push that hard and use my feat appropes.

Legion Deploy: I won the roll, pick the side that matters (Intrusive wall near a zone).
It's a line of Heavies, enjoying their lives before Mark 3.

Merc Deploy: Stuff.

Legion 1: Everything runs way to the left side of the board, only the Pot really stays central.

Merc 1: Everything forward! Gorten and his nearest and dearest go into the trench. Anastasia runs way to the left of the board to force the clock to move.

Legion 2: A load of Press Gangers get shot. One Scythean runs toward the right side, doesn't get to the zone. Pot spawns a Shredder that toes said zone.

Merc 2: Push hard time. He's spaced so far away I'm better off keeping my feat to tap the autowin button.
I stupidly forget to place down 9 Risen. I put them down on the side, then contemplated my order of action enough to space out. Eugh.
Press Gangers move around, left unit is Icy Gripped so moves a bit awkwardly.
Gun Mages go, one got Madelyned forward and knocks the Shredder out of the zone. Another Gun Mage snipes at it and straight up kills it. Huh.
Gorten charges into the right zone, a bit further forward than normal, as I was worried the Earthbreaker wasn't going to be in charge range of the objective (As it was Bunker, I wasn't going to be able to shoot it down like I prefer).
Sure enough, the Earthbreaker charges and easily dirts said Objective.
Madelyn, Hawk, Gorman, Alexia all crowd around Gorten to shield him.

Legion 3: Alimanex goes into the tank, and correctly concludes that even running four heavies into my zone won't achieve squat.
After much measuring, he works out a viable assassination run.
Ravagores set Gorten on fire and lightly scratch him.
Vayl moves up, Slipstreams the Seraph across. Does a feat and arcs an Oblit for sod all, hits Gorten with an Icy Grip.
Lunch ladies kill a Press Ganger blocking the Scythean.
Seraph flies across, Slipstream moves the Scythean forward.
Scythean then charges Gorten, needs 6's to hit at dice minus 5. Opening attacks with Boosted damage leave him on one box. Last unboosted attack go.
Lands the hit.
Gets the six.
Sod.

Me on the left.
Alas, he correctly worked out the puzzle.
Good game, played out reasonably well. Could have stopped the assassination straight up by placing the Risen, putting Gorten in the corner of the zone (Was worried about blocking the Earthbreaker charge), or by the great of skill that is passing some tough rolls. Alas. General plan good, stumbled on specifics to make the last ditch more unworkable.
Even the indomitable Parliamentarian Frawlron fell this round, only Glorious EdTheRed cracking his knuckles with a win.
437 - OTC Rnd 5 - Gorten vs Issyria
Day number 2, after a good time spent going at the fermented beverages and screaming a lot. I'm told I talked to a bunch of people, I even remember some of them.
Our opening round in this horrible morning thing was into the undefeated NSWalians, who had a grid that was pretty awful for us. I'd already resigned myself to either getting Dinged or Frawltatored (Note that at this point the Frawltatorship had fallen to the rising tide of Simmerism).
I ended up going into Simmerland, with some filthy Ret.
This was meant to be one of my few Bart drops, but the scenario was Destruction which seduced me to Gorten. I then stuffed it harder than a Canadian making an ornamental Moose for the hallway.
I won the roll and picked second for that sweet scenario scoringness, he dropped Issyria which sadly meant a Colossal to contest.
Deployments happened, nothing to shocking, had a painful forest that my Earthrbeaker lined up to go through.

Ret 1: It all moves up, Assassins go across from the Earthbreaker, other stuff is just around.

Merc 1: Press Gangers all ran up and waited for death. No worries.
Gun Mages hung around in the back. So far so good.
That's the pair of things I did properly, now onto the rest.
The Earthbreaker didn't go as far as it normally does, trying to pointlessly keep out of threat of the Mage Hunter Assassins (I thought they threatened 14, forgetting Crusaders Call makes it 16 anyway).
Gorten charged up and put a wall at the front of the zone, it was either contest with the Hyper one or shoot the Starburst cannon.
Gorman smoked some weed way out on the left, for some reason I was terrified of him dying to electrical leaps even though it doesn't matter if he dies, so long as a LoS blocking cloud is in front of Gorten.
So yeah. Basically didn't think about the matchup, decided it was better to go for the turn 2 auto scenario win (Score three, feat push, giggle, score again).

Ret 2: Issyria feats. Electromancers butcher the Press Gangers, Hyperion moves up, Crits Gorten to suck up Alexia, little guns shoot down Gorten.

Dispirited me on the left.
Just utter foolishness on my part. I was pre-set in my head about what I would play into, and just didn't shift gears for what I actually had to do. Simmerone did exactly what he should have, but I am very thankful we had more games after this to try to redeem myself in MK 2.
NSW kicked us in the jimmies, aside from the Antarctic Frawl, who continued to make the rest of us look like chumps as he Rahned his way through Denny.
436 - OTC Rnd 4 - Gorten vs eVayl
Final round of the day, the chance to even up our record.
Round 4 is the other half of the nearer pond crosser, NZ South.
Scenario is that old devil Incursion.
I went into the eVayl tier of total balance, triple Angels, double Ravagores, Hex Hunters and the Pot.
Pretty sure I won the roll and went second (Anastasia has been money all day). I picked the side with the less intrusive forest, centre line of the board is scarily empty.

Legion Deploy: Two Angels took the left foresty side, one went centre and the Gores went to the right. Totally not on suicide watch Spell Martyr smacked down in the front.

Merc Deploy: Not as lopsided as the last game, though still a bit weaker on the right with the forest.

Legion 1: It all moves forward, Beasts and hexies as the front row.
Spell Martyr pelts forward, because an Obliteration of doom that explodes four Press Gangers. Did not space out that well.

Merc 1: Press Gangers run forward in what now looks like a weird lopsided infinity symbol. Other junk behind.

Legion 2: Slow advance, Admo Angel on the far left sits near the left flag, Occultated one is closest to my face up front. Hexies awkwardly space around the front line.
Pot gets filled out, pops out a Shredder who mauls a Press Ganger.
A bunch of shots went, Earthbreaker got dinged up a bit and the total amount of Press Gangers went down to half health.

Merc 2: Plan is to score twice, jam around and commence the delete one heavy a turn game.
Press Gangers and Gun Mages kill the Shredder and the front Hex hunters, Thorbreaker deletes the forward Ravagore.
I had an awkward moment here of do I feat or not. Feat was only going to get an Angel and some infantry. My problem was twofold, the first being that the Angel was in charge range of the Earthbreaker, which is how I lose, the second being that I'd activated everything so I'd have to use Gorman as my charge target.
I got past my reticence, accepted Gorman's death (Which did happen) and feat back the Angel and a few of the infantry.
Mercs go to 2 CP.
Oh, a Thrall went to annoy people on the left flag.

Legion 3: Vayl feat turn.
The Pot lumbers forward to contest the middle flag, spawns a Stinger that kills a couple Press Gangers. Madelyn weathers an oblit, Solid Ground only being Purified after. Two Angels, one with Refuge, end up on the left flag. The Occultated Angel and the now Admonitioned Ravagore go on the right flag.
Legion go to 2 CP.

Merc 3: Things are coming up slinky, the battlegroup is so divided that the Earthbreaker can safely go in on the right.
Press Gangers pop the pot, which poops a harrier that Hawk fails to hit.
On the left, the Gun Mages push one Angel way away from the flag, Alexia charges and burns most of the Risen to kill it, Anastasia goes to score off the flag.
On the right,, the Earthbreeaker gets full focus, boosted attack rolls and lumbers forward. The Ravagore Admo's out of melee, which was fine because I was killing a Heavy regardless as I shoot down the Angel.
Gorten runs and hides behind the Earthbreaker.
Mercs go to 3 CP.
Legion 4: No pic alas, due to time constraints.
Adamsky could see the writing on the wall, so went for some points nabbing. The remaining Angel exploded Alexia, Vayl moves up and Obliterated away the remaining Press Gangers, the other pieces kill a couple solos and stuff.

Merc 4: Earthbreaker moves across, explodes Vayl.

Me on the left.
Pretty much went the way it is intended to, Incursion forcing the Legion battlegroup to split up was nice as well. The minimal feat wasn't super efficient, but I'm satisfied it was the right call.
We got some Kiwi-venge here, coming out 3-2 team wise.
