Game 40 - Win - Strakhov vs Ashlynn

Result: Win

25 Point Machinations


Strakhov - Spriggan, Gun Carriage, 2x Kayazy Eliminators, Doomreavers
Ashlynn - Rocinante (Character Nomad), Gun Mages, Forge Guard, Gorman, Rhupert, Sylys


Summary - Merc advance, Forge up front and Jack to their side. Strakhoc casts every upkeep he has and charges at the Jack for extra distance, everything advacnes. Gun Carriages opens up to place some templates. Eliminators run up either flank, Doomreavers face off the Forge Guard.

Rocinante moves up and shoots the Gun Carriage, the Forge guard move up, a few get to the Eliminators but miss. The Gun mages and attendant Solo's move around the new terrain. Strakhov charges a Forgeguard, kills him activating Overrun to advance the Spriggan, moves back a few inches and uses his feat. The Spriggan charges Rocinante, but rolls poor damage. Gun Carriage charges the Jack as well, knocking it down and firing into the Gun Mages, killing a few. The Doomreavers kill most of the Forge Guard, the Right most Elimiantors charge and kill Rupert while the left flankers threaten Gorman.

Ashlynn feats,Gun Carriage is nearly destroyed by various efforts. Forge Guard knock out Spriggans Shield arm and a couple of Doomreavers. In reply Rocinante is killed by the Spriggan, the Gun Carriage kills more of the Gun Mages, Gorman is enganged by the Eliminators from the left, the right most ones engage the Gun Mages. The Doomreavers finish off the Forge Guard, Strakhov just hangs around.

Ashlynn charges the Eliminators on Gorman, with Flashing Blade attacks she misses 11 attacks. Opponent resigns.


Performance - 8/10.
  • Strakhov is interesting, runs with very little Focus even with a single Jack. Against those familiar with his Feat could be difficult.
  • Gun Carriage was utter gold
  • Kayazy Defence was silly and killing Rupert felt glorious.
  • Doomreavers where okay. Hit hard but felt very squishy.

Game 39 - Win - Karchev vs Ossrum

Result: Win
26-13-0


25 Point Machinations, Region added +2 Speed


Karchev - Behemoth, Devestator, Kodiak
Ossrum - 2x Driller, Shield Gun Corp, Artillery Corp, Forge Guard, Tactical Arcanist Core (TAC)


Summary - Rhulics advanced in a block, Behemoth trampled forward and killed the Mortar crew with boosted shots. Karchev cast Tow and swung Behemoth back. The Kodiak moves in front and vents steam.

Rhulics charge up, Ossrum feats (Speed plus armour boost). TAC and Shield gun Corp shoot up Kodiak, Forge Guard run up and get in Karchev's face. Behemoth and Kodiak move up and kill off the Forge Guard on Karchev, who then runs with upkept tow to the extreme right, covering behind a building.
The Dwarves form up, Ossrum in the centre, a driller facing either side of the building. The Shield Corp wall up, the Forge Guard run after Khador. Karchev Turbines for movement, goes to the far end of the building and turns around, popping feat and Unearthly Rage. Behemoth charges the facing Driller, destroying it. Devestator moves up. Kodiak charges the Devestator, throwing it at Ossrum for a little damage.
Ossrum shakes it off and moves back, a Forgeguard knocks down the Kodiak, the Shield Corp fail to hurt the Devestator. The TAC blast the Kodiak some more. The remaining Driller charges Behemoth but does minimal damage. The Kodiak gets shaken off, Karchev moves up slinging the Behemoth out of combat and bringing up the Kodiak, casting Unearthly Rage. The Kodiak advances and throws a Shield Corp at Ossrum, knocking him down. Behemoth charges Ossrum and kills him.


Performance - 10/10. Played very well, a Scenario and different region would have made it much more difficult.

Game 38 - Win - eVlad vs High Reclaimer

Result: Win
25-13-0


25 Point Machinations, Rally Point (Two circle areas to control/dominate, one friendly one enemy, two destroyable objectives), Region added +2 Speed


eVlad - 5th Border Legion Demolisher, Gun Carriage, Kayazy Eliminators, Drakhun, Gorman, Wardog
High Reclaimer - Winter Repenter (Cold Spray), Revenger (Repulsor), Reckoner (Heavy Flare Gun), Choir, Flameguard (Reach infantry), 2x Vassal of Menoth, 3x Wracks


Summary -  Spood boost from region caused early clash, Demolisher just blocked all game. Flameguard wiped out early on by the first shot of the Gun Carriage.

Jacks clashed in middle, Demolisher held ground and absorbed hits.
Vlad moved up on the right edge. Drakhun, over the course of two turns was shot to death, including a Stationary effect from the Winter Repenter.
Gorman Black Oiled the Reckoner, who had advanced into the middle of the enemy zone. The turn after said Reckoner was Thrown at the High Reclaimer.
Eventually Vlad moved up, feated a Kayazy, Gorman black oiled the High Reclaimer (Targeted the Reckoner, who he was next to), who was then attacked and killed by the Eliminator thanks to Transference.


Performance - 7/10. Muddled it out, not having a unit caused trouble.

Units to Note:

  • Gun Carriage - Brutal with hand of fate, rough terrain creation was gold. Move attack + Knockdown on melee was handy.
  • Gorman - Speed boost allowed easy Black Oil shots, surprisingly only a small effort was made to kill him
  • Drakhun - Absorbed a lot of firepower, but didn't get any damage impact

Game 37 - Win - Old Witch vs pSkarre

Result: Win

35 Point Machinations, Chemical Scenario (Two zones with destroyable objectives, one zone friendly one enemy, points for getting other zone/destroying objective)


Old Witch + Scrapjack - Demolisher (League Model, Advance deploy + Pathfinder), WGI (Max) + UA, Joe, Orin Midwinter, Gorman, Sylyss, Aiyanna + Holt, Drakhun, Kayazy Eliminators
pSkarre - 2x Death Chicken (One Spray, one melee), Bane Thralls (max) + UA, 2x Pistol Wraiths, Seether, Soulhunters (3 Cavalry)


Summary -  Bane Thralls ran up the middle to be countered by the WGI. Seether charges Demolisher on the right flank, is counter charged by the Drakhun whose horse gets a crit knockdown. It is then cut down in the next turn.
The Soulhunters charge up to Scrappy, but miss and are in turn killed. Orin blasts one of the Pistol Wraiths.
Old Witch gets sprayed for 10 damage and gets corroded by a chicken that gets killed/ Drakhun cut down by the Bane Thralls who split up, but do nothing to the Kayazy. The WGI kill most of the Bane Thralls, Scrappy charges and kills the Banes that got the Drakhun. Old Witch Dominates enemy zone for 3 points.
Skarre advances and does 3 damage to old witch, leaving her on two health. Old Witch dominates zone and wins (Scrappy tried for the assassinate and screwed it up).


Performance - 7/10. Almost perfect, but single main mistake nearly lost the match except for a poor damage roll at the end of the game by Skarre
  • Should have held Old Witch back and just controlled the enemy zone, my zone was very safe covered by the WGI, Dominating wasn't required
  • Orin did what he was meant to, but being centrally placed may have allowed his anti magic spell to come into play
Units to Note:
  • Aiyana + Holt are gold. Kiss on Seether messed it up, even with Holt shooting
  • WGI with full buffs seemed to be effective at stopping Bile Thralls
  •  Demolisher was useful roadblock, though a single Bile Thrall still managed to take out a column...
  • Drakhun was a damage machine, Counter charge came up twice and ended up getting him in range to be killed by Bile Thralls, but he killed Seether with minimal help and messed up 80% of one of the Death Chickens.

Game 36 - Loss - Old Witch vs pDeneghra

Old Witch + Scrapjack - Behemoth, WGRC (Max), Joe, Silly Wishnylons, 2x  Kayazy Eliminators, Drakhun (w/dismount), Gorman
pDeneghra - 2x Death Chickens, Bane Thralls (Max) + UA, Tartarus, Warwich Siren, 3x Pistol Wraiths, Nyss (Maz), 2x solo with power booster?

Summary - Drakhun delayed whole game by Pistol Wraiths, some moving back and forth but ultimately Feat only delayed the Stealthy Incoporeal Bane Thralls of doom.

Needed to Rampage through Thralls with Scrapjack + Avatar of Slaughter, was set up to do it before the turn of doom but screwed up distance, needed to move up Scrappy a lot earlier.




Performance - 4/10.
  • Need to take A + H or other magic when versing Cryx
  • Feat damage hurts incoporeal
  • OW Feat so much less usefull outside of Scenario need to get something on the Caster to force bad movement
  •  pDenny feat = horror and pain

Game 35 - Win - eVlad vs eVayl

Result: Win
23-12-0

35 Point Machinations, Gargantuan Release Scenario (Huge base in centre, irrelevant objection related stuff)

eVlad - Spriggan, IFP (Max), WGRC (Max), Joe, 2x Kayazy Eliminators, Wardog, Drakhun
eVayl - 2x Angelius, 2x Ravagore, Shepherd, 3x Spell Martys

Summary - Clash in the middle, Kayazy smuck around, got to eVayl and screwed up her Feat turn. Feat used to butcher the beasts. WGRC surprisingly awesome.


Performance -7/10.
  • Note: Hand of Fate applies to damage as well

Game 34 - Win - Old Witch vs Ashlynn

Result: Win

35 Point Machinations, SR Scenario (Two zones with attackable objective in each, one zone friendly one enemy)

Old Witch + Scrapjack -Behemoth, WGRC (Max), Joe, Silly Wishnylons, Kayazy Eliminators, Drakhun (w/dismount) [NOTE: 5 POINTS SHORT]
Ashlynn - Vanguard, Gun Mages, Precursor Knights, Press Gangers, Madelyn, Airana + Holt, pEiryss, Tarryn + Rutger, Sea Dog Crew?

Summary - Khador going first, both armies have spread out deployments.

Behemoth and Eliminators take the left, initially against Tarryn + Rutger and the Gun Mages, the Sea Dogs and Precursor knights would run over from the middle, though not until Rutger and Tarryn where gutted by the Eliminators. On the right Old Witch would move up and second turn teleport and pop feat, the Drakhun runs over to Eiryss who he kills with a free strike when she moved away. The WGRC shot down the Press Gangers. The Drakhun would be dismounted by Aiyanna + Holt, Ashlynn would hold back and the Vanguard would charge. Behemoth would be pushed out of the Friendly zone by the Gun Mages.

On the left, Behemoth and the Eliminators eventually clear out the Gun Mages and Sea Dogs. The Precursor knights are mostly destroyed by the WGRC.  Scrapjack channels a Gallows to get the Vanguard out of the enemy zone, who is then charged by the dismounted Drakhun, damaging him. Old Witch sits in the end of the zone. Ashlynn moves up, killing some of the WGRC, then feating. The Drakhun is killed by the Vanguard, A and H run up.

A several turn duel commences, all infantry are killed, leaving the remaining Eliminator and Behemoth running over, just in time for Behemoth to kill Holt, who got Wishnylons and Joe. Ashlynn has a number of stabs and shots at Old Witch, getting her down to 2 health, until finally a Gallows hits her and drags her out of the zone, causing a Scenario win.


Performance - 5/10.Old Witch got attacks way to many times, statistically she should have died early on in the endgame phase. Need to get a program on the phone, screwing up the amount of points several times is stupid. Drakhun is gold.
